Learning To Let Go

Introduction

Hey guys!  If you're coming from the previous book, Never Letting Go, then I welcome you on another adventure!

If you're new then I welcome you to this book!  I really hope you enjoy what I write and who I am as a person/ amphibian.  And if you haven't read Never Letting Go then you might be lost at some points.

Cory P.O.V.

I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and Instinctivly thought it was Alphys.  But I was done with that journey, wasn't I?

I took my phone out of my pocket and  saw it was Adam (sky).

A- You almost here?

C- A few minutes out be right there

I turned off the phone and thought about Alphys some more.  God how I missed her, Papyrus, Sans, and even Asgore.  Which was weird because he was the one who killed me, forcing me to reset.

It still made me depressed because after everything I had said to Frisk, everytime I said I wouldn't have reset, I still did.

It had been a few years since I had "fallen down" into the Underground.  Since the reset I'd never seen Frisk and I assumed she had never escaped the Underground.

But overtime I had learned to forget and move on with my next life where I was a youtuber who made roleplays.

Coincidentally one of them was about my adventures with Frisk.  It had been my way of dealing with the sadness.

During my time on the surface I had met someone who was just as perfect as Frisk.

Her name was Shelby.  It was honestly eerie how similar they were to each other which was probably why I liked her so much.

I pulled up into the office and was instantly greeted by Red.

"Hey Cory!  I dont wanna hurry you up or anything but we need you to hurry.  We're behind schedule and Em is getting mad!"  Oh no!  That's not good for anyone!

I instantly knew how much trouble they were in and quickly got all my stuff and ran into the offices where I was greeted by the crew.

"Hey Cory!"  They said as I ran by them into the empty office.

"Cory!"  Adam yelled through the wall, "welcome back and we already set everything up for you!  Sorry for making you hurry for nothing!"

Oh great!  Now I'm all sweaty for nothing!

I cursed under my breath and opened up Minecraft saying a few vocal warm ups in preperation.

"Hey Cory!"  I heard a high pitched voice say as they knocked on the door.

I looked at the door opening to see Shelby standing there with a smile on her face.

"A-uh... Hey Shelby!"  I said nervously making her giggle.

Come on Cory!  Get it together man!

"Been a while, hasnt it?"  She said.

"Yeah!  Which is surprisingsince your a main character in my biggest series on my channel."  (Which he barely ever uploads.  >:(   )

And somehow you look even more beautiful then when I last saw you.

I didnt say it out loud because I'd never be able to talk to her again if she knew I liked her.  It would be to awkward.

"You ready Cory?"  Adam screamed from the other room.

"Just a second, let me get onto the server."

We played Minecraft murder and every so often Shelby and a few people would walk by the window and just stare at me.

Yea it was a little wierd but it's what they did here at the offices.

Once we were done recording Adam walked into the office.

"Thank you so much!  Sorry again for the hurry."

"It's fine."  I said shrugging it off.

"But you're here for the next two days and somehow the fans know so they want a day in the life of Cory!"

Why would they care about me?  I hardly ever record with Adam.

"I dont know who you're staying with but you might want to tell them that you're going to be doing vlogs."

"Ok."  During the next two days I would be staying with Tim, Ross, Max and Shelby, who was visiting just like me.  I knew they wouldnt have a problem with it.

I thought about what I could do for the video and realized how much I could really share.  I could talk about how my Roleplay series actually happened.  I could describe how amazing it was to be in the Underground in person.

But I knew I couldnt say it.  Everyond would think I was crazy.

Adam set the vlog camera down on the table and left being replaced almost instantly with Max.

"Hey Cory!  I see you've gotten a heck of a welcome back to the offices!  All the hustle and bustle and the extreme rush.

I laughed.  This is what usually happened when I came over.

"It's fine.  I'm just happy to see you guys again.  Sometimes making those roleplays takes up every second of my time and I never get to do anything."

Max blew some air out of his mouth.

"Tell me about it.  I havent seen Jess in a solid month!  Shes really dug herself into a hole!"

Max walked up right next to and started talking a little quieter.

"By the way,  I came here to say hi and all but there's something else.  I felt obligated to tell you this because they've done this exact thing to me before."

"What is it?"  I asked genuinely confused.

"So a while back they uploaded a video about pranking me."  (I swear I'm not being paid to send you guys to the video.  But you should really check it out!)

My smile fell.

"Not like this."  I said as the realization sunk in making Max smile.

"Just be prepared for the next two days to be a living hell."

I was genuinely terrified and was frantically thinking of what they could do to prank me.

They really couldn't do anything unless....But, they couldn't know...could they?

Suddenly I felt very nervous and knew that the next two days would be very long indeed.

So!  That's it for the first chapter of a brand new book!  I'm really excited for this new journey and I hope you're willing to stay tuned!  Uploads wont be as often as they were with Never Letting Go, but I'll still try my hardest to get chapters out as soon as possible.
