Chap 3

--Melissa's POV--
Me and Ethan had the perfect idea. We invited everyone over since it was Sunday they all come over for family dinner anyways. Everyone was here and the food was ready. The three family's were sitting at the table eating.

"This is so good thanks Mel" Maddie said looking at me

"Actually Ethan made this" everyone looked at Ethan

"Why is it such a surprise!" He started fake crying. I rubbed his back giggling. In the middle of my giggle I got that same annoying urge again.

"Uh I'm going to the bathroom" I quickly got up and ran to the restroom upstairs so no one would hear. I finished and came downstairs.

"Are you ok?" Mrs Dolan asked

"Yup" I smiled

"Well we are gonna go get dessert" me and Ethan got up and went to the room. We set up everything and came back "but first a surprise!" We dragged everyone to the room with the door closed

"Ready?" I smiled at them. They all nodded and we slowly opened the door. There were pink and blue balloons on the floor. 10 picture frames on the wall with one filled in with the first ultra sound we had. And munchkin was sitting on the couch with a poster in front of her that read "mom and dad are getting me a human" I guess everyone got the hint because Maddie and Grayson ran over to us. And the moms were crying while Maddies dad and the Twins dads were in shock.

"I'm gonna be a grandma!" My mom and Ethan's mom screamed at the same time. We all laughed and enjoyed our time together.

-one week later-
I was at home while Ethan was out buying food. There was a knock at the door. I walked and opened the door revealing a sobbing Maddie.

"Mads what's wrong?!" I hugged her

"M-my mom is in the hospital" she said through sobs

"Oh my god what happened" I hugged her tighter

"She got into a car accident" she cried harder

"Let's go then!"

We drove to the hospital and I called Ethan.

"Babe we are going to the hospital"

"We? Are you ok?!"

"Yeah yeah Maddie's mom is at the hospital"

"Ok I'll be there in a little"

We got to the hospital and ran inside. We ran straight to the room and saw her mom connected to many wires. She started sobbing harder and ran into Grayson's arms. I looked at Grayson and he looked at me. I gave him a sad smile. After 5 minutes Ethan came rushing through the door.

"What happened! Are you ok?" He ran up to me and hugged me

"I'm fine" I whispered. We stayed the whole day with Maddie and her dad. Her mother was in a coma and we didn't know if she was gonna wake up. The doctors said she might not make it. I hope she does. She won't be her to see her daughter give birth or see her get married.

"I'm sorry Maddie" I looked at her

"It's not your fault" she softly smiled at me. Ethan had his hand on my stomach rubbing it gently. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I love you i mouthed and he mouthed the same thing back. All of a sudden there was beeping. Her mom started shaking and Maddie and her dad ran over to her.

"Mom! Mom no!" Doctors rushed in and Grayson pulled Maddie away. She was hitting him and screamed at him

"Let me go! Mom"

"Mads calm down"

"NO! No! No..." She said hitting his chest then calming down sobbing into his chest. I couldn't see her like this I wanted to cry but I had to stay strong. No one said I had to though. A tear slipped my eye as I watched her. I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Ethan looking at me.
I wiped my tear and smiled at him.

"Jack and Madeline Walker?"

"Y-yeah?" Her dad said looking at the doctor

"Where's my mom?!" Maddie screamed
