Chap 9-Old times new times

--Melissa's POV--
Most people have trouble sleeping at night with a new born but lucky for us Bella was a calm baby. I would have to feed her every couple of times but Ethan and I would switch off. Our sleep schedule wasn't that bad and we got up the next day with smiles on our faces. Early at night we got a call saying that Maddie was giving birth. So we got dressed and dressed Bella in a onesie and wrapped her in a blanket since it was cold. We rushed out of the house and drove to the hospital carefully. Bella is exactly two weeks old and she is still a tiny baby. You can see her hazel eyes more and she has a tiny bit if black hairs at the top of her head. She is the cutest thing ever.

"Madeline Walker?" I said as Ethan carries Bella making sure she was wrapped up nicely.

"How are you related to the patient?"

"Sister in law" Ethan said out of breath

"Alright this way please" she guided us to a room similar to mine but the only difference was that this time it was Maddie and not me.

"Mel! How did you do this?!" She screamed as soon as I walked into the room. I ran over to her and held her hand

"It's ok Mads breath breath" woah this is how I looked when I was going through this? *insert embarrassed face here* I mentally giggled.

"OW ow ow ow! Maddie ow!" I said trying to pull my hand away

"Sorry!!!" She screamed. I finally got my hand away and Mason came and held her hand. After about 2 hours the doctor came in and went over everything she did with me. They delivered a beautiful baby boy

He was a perfect little baby. His button nose and tiny lips. We were all sitting in her room as the nurses were cleaning up Logan. Me and Ethan were sitting in the chairs looking at Bella asleep. Gray and Maddie were lying down on the bed smiling at each other non stop. I looked down and saw Bella squirming around like she was uncomfortable. I looked at Ethan and he looked down at Bella. He reached down and picked her up resting her over his heart. It always calms her down...but not this time.

"Baby?" I looked at Ethan worried. I took her out of his arms and held her. I felt her head she was on fire.

"E she's burning up!" I looked at him. Grayson came over and took her out of my hands feeling her

"Bro she's right" he looked at him

"I'm getting a nurse" Ethan got up and left the room to get a nurse. My heart was racing uncontrollably. Ethan came in followed by a nurse.

"Can I see her?" The nurse said taking her out of Graysons hands. Me, my mom, my dad, and Ethan followed the nurse with our daughter while Grayson and Mr and Mrs Dolan and Maddie's parents stayed with Maddie.

"Now let's see what the problem is here" she said laying down Bella gently in the baby bed. Seeing her there made me want to cry. You will never understand the feeling a mother gets when she sees something wrong with her child. The doctor carried on with some test and told us she had to be given a shot

"A shot?" Ethan said

"Isn't there any way else!" I looked at the nurse frightened

"I'm sorry this is the only way" she looked at us

"Ok..." I said looking down not wanted to see her do it. I heard her little cries and cried with her. I hate when she cries it breaks my heart. Ethan rubbed my back as a tear slipped my eye.

"There all done" she put a tiny bandaid on her arm and wrapped her up. Giving her back to me. "We will call you when we have the results back" we thanked her and walked back to Maddie's room. Logan was now in her hands.

"Mel what happened" she said looking at me gently shaking Logan

"I-I don't know" I looked down at Bella

"They are gonna let us know" Ethan said looking at everyone in the room

Maddie was released from the hospital and we still haven't heard from the doctors. Bella has been getting worse by the day. She wakes up at night crying, she is never hungry, and she's always throwing up. Me and Ethan aren't getting much sleep but he's staying strong. My mom is sleeping over everyday to help us out as much as she can. Maddie and Grayson can't leave the house that much because of their new born but Mrs Dolan is here often too. We were all sitting down in the living room while Ethan was walking around with Bella in his hands.

"Baby I'll take her you sit down" I walked over to him and took her out of his arms. Right when he let go of her she started crying again

"It's ok give her back" he took her smiling to me

"Ok" I kissed his cheek and walked back. Once I sat down I got a phone call

"Hello?"

"Hi this is Doctor Dunkin"

"Yes hi"

"I am calling to inform you the we have the results for Isabella please come in as soon as possible"
