Chapter Two

Mike's head shot up to the end of the hall way and mine followed it was Dan. I feel so bad for him seeing him hurt it breaks my heart. "Hey fag" Mike just saying those words make me want to yell at him or punch some sense into him but he could make my life hell again so I just stood back and watched.

I snapped out of my thoughts when a loud groan came out of what must have been Dan. He had his hand on his jaw and Mike was smirking. Then Mike punched him right in the gut and he grabbed his stomach I whimpered and Mike just grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up. He whispered something that I couldn't hear Dan's eyes just got sadder and Mike let go and Dan fell to the ground.

Mike walked away laughing to himself how is this close to funny? I followed him but I turned around to see a broken boy on the ground he looked up at me but I just continued walking. We entered the cafeteria and I'm not hungry at all so I just sat down at our table and waited. He got to the table with the rest of his 'friends' and they talked I was left out as usual. I stood up and walked out of the room.

I walked towards where we had left Dan his things were still there but he wasn't the first place that came to mind was the toilets. I'm glad I checked there because that's where he was and he didn't look very good. As soon as he realized I had walked in he backed up, I scare him? "Dan, please I am not going to hurt you. I want to help you and talk to you." I wasn't sure if he was going to believe me but he must have as he walked towards me. He looked so broken I could see it in his eyes, and the worst part? I caused this. How could I have been so stupid.

"Dan take of your jumper" he was very hesitant but he did as I told him to do. Not at all what i was expecting, there were so many black and blue spots on his arms and where there wasn't bruises there were cuts. Some where small and old but there was also new ones that were deep and red. I grabbed his hand out of reflex but I must have put to much pressure on a cut or bruise because he gasped and pulled away. I looked up at him he had tears in his eyes and I was starting to think I was going to start tearing up too. "Dan-" that's all I got out before he broke down into tears and dropped to the ground.

I sat down next to him and we sat in silence other than his crying or sniffling for a while. sometime between us sitting down and now he had but his head on my shoulder, I just let him keep it there and honestly I liked it. He had calmed down and the bell was about to ring and I don't think he would want to be seen like this.

"Dan? Do you want to go to class or home?" "H home" it was barely audible and his voice cracked half way through saying it, kinda cute.  I stood up and put my hand out for him to grab, he took it and stood up.He put his jumper back on and we walked out of the bathroom he grabbed his things and we walked out the doors at the end of the hall way, right before the bell rang.

My house was only a block away so I thought it would be much easier just to go there but I checked with Dan anyways. "Dan do you want to go to your house or mine?" "yours." We walked in silence not really awkward but calming. Before I knew it we reached my house I was glad my parents weren't home because how was I supposed to explain this to them. I unlocked the front door and closed it behind Dan I walked up stairs and he followed me. I opened the door to my room "Dan sit on the bed and take of your jumper again, I am going to grab some bandages from the bathroom." He walked into the room and I turned towards the bathroom.

What have I gotten myself into?

AN: yay there was some fluff :) and I probably won't be updating this often but I have a lot of ideas so there coming
