Giselle is a fifteen year old girl. She lives in a Nigerian territory called Nighondia. This is a large island just off the coast of Gabon, named after its founder, Hondiaren and its mother country, Nigeria. This country is calm and quiet and developed the customs of its Nigerian inhabitants.

Like the young girls of Nigeria, Giselle has lived her life understanding that when she comes of a particular age, she will be married off to a wealthy man. A man of education and business. One that can support her by providing food that she will then cook. One that will most likely be many years older than she.

On Giselle's fifteenth birthday she began to realize that this marriage was just around the corner. At the time she did not know that she would be married off to a cruel man that did not think much of her. In his eyes she was just another expense in his life. But she was a beautiful expense, non the less.

The day of her wedding, she sees that the marriage she knew was to be just a fairy tale. She dreamed of a large wedding with her family and friends gathered around. She wanted flower petals to cover the ground she walked on. She knew that she would be dressed in a long pale pink gown that would cover her arms and legs as any dress for a young girl would. She knew she would look beautiful on her wedding day.

As the day got closer, her dream would be replaced with abuse and neglect. She would fear everyone and everything. She would live in a house of no escape, never seeing the light of day after her fifteenth birthday. Giselle's only savior from this wretched man, is a man who has had his heart set on her for ten years. This man will go to whatever lengths it takes to pay Giselle's price.

This story is fictional. I would like to stress that it is not based on a true story or has any purposeful resemblance to any real occurrences. The topic of a child bride is something very serious, but I do not have a lot of knowledge on it so I would like to make it clear that this story is not to be taken as accurate or correct. The information from this story is completely made up and any accuracy is 100% accidental.

I am not trying to offend anyone by writing a story about this. I have recently been reading a book about this and it sparked some thoughts. I am not trying to be rude to anyone who has anymore knowledge about this sort of topic because I will admit I don't have a lot about it.

There are some topics that may be seen as concerning to some. If it is a topic you feel uncomfortable with, then please stop reading. I will give advanced warnings when anything unusual may happen in detail prior to the posted chapter.
