Jenna's POV

Usually when you don't sleep in your own bed, your comfort isn't the greatest. Like going on holiday for example, the hotel beds can never compete with the one you have at home. Not only is it the familiarity, but also the recognisable smell and feel you learn to love and take for granted.

It seemed now, I had grown to love Tyler's bed as my own. As strange as it sounds, sleeping in his presence was the most calming thing I could've imagine. Whenever I stayed at his, it was like no worry was left in the world, it was like it felt like home.

My home was supposed to be with my grandparents, but I honestly felt like Tyler was my home, the feeling I had with him was something you couldn't describe any closer.

He was home

Tyler was my home

"Good morning" a whisper interrupted my thoughts, my head jolting over to look at the man wrapped in the soft blanket we were both engulfed in. His smirk was so contagious, I couldn't help but feel my body fill with comforting warmth.

"What time is it?" I asked, my voice crackling unexpectedly.

"Almost 11" Tyler replied softly, "You looked too peaceful to wake you up"

"Wow" I sighed, only now noticing that Tyler wasn't wearing a shirt, his tattoos interesting me once again. I never cared when he was shirtless, nor looked at it as anything sexual. Skin was skin, It was society that created sexualisation that we rule by today. But when his chest was bare, I finally was able to analyse the ink soaked into his skin, and no matter how many times I'd seen them, I couldn't help but wrap my brain around them once again.

"So I was thinking" Tyler started, "Do you want to go to the lake this afternoon?"

"The lake?" I scrunched up my nose, "isn't it a bit cold?"

"We don't have to swim silly" he chuckled, "we can have lunch and just sit by the water, The weather is pretty decent today, especially as it's always gloomy in Ohio"

He said this with such ease, as it was fall, easing into winter, the weather was becoming more and more crisp. I felt my cheeks rise into a smile.

"Sure" I said, watching as Tyler leaped out of bed, almost as if he was ready to conquer the world.

--

The temperature was comfortable and cool, the kind of weather you dream of having, where your not the slightest bit hot, but not too cold either.

The lake was actually absolutely beautiful, so simple yet so perfect in every way. It seemed to be unknown from other people, we were the only ones around. Tyler brung along a picnic blanket and basket, various berries added. I offered to make little sandwiches, Tyler sneaking in some chocolate while I was cutting them.
