50th Poem: Writer's Struggle

I think we all know,

the writer's struggle.

You must promote or

enter contests to

get your book noticed anywhere,

online or not.

Life gets hectic,

keeping you from updating

or writing your story,

prolonging the process.

You get writer's block,

you lose inspiration,

you stop updates,

you feel like giving up,

you don't get paid until you

publish your book or

get people to watch ads,

you feel like you are

disappointing your readers,

you try to keep things interesting,

you learn the elements of writing

and grammar

and spelling-

all examples of

the writer's struggle.

I agree,

it is frustrating.

Of course,

I am just an amateur so

what do I really know?

What  I do know is

the frustration of

being unnoticed,

of seeing the same people

winning awards, featured titles-

taking up the space for

people who are undiscovered.

No,

they don't choose to do it,

it just happens.

But either way,

there is still frustration.

Don't lose

inspiration.

Go out,

venture and find

opportunities.

Do it,

because you believe you can.

Do it,

because you have a story you want to get across.

Do it,

to provide the world with your creativity.

Just,

do it.

do it

A/N

I bet like none of you noticed lol but I tied for third place in WritersStruggle's Awards for Smiling in Summer. Thank so much everyone who took the time to vote for me, it really meant a lot to me. This may not seem like an accomplishment to you but it is to me so I said it again, thank you.

You see that nice bronze sticker on the cover now? Yeah, awesome right?! :D I definitely would not have won it without you guys. Thanks for reading my book and being amazing people in general.

Dedicated to Bookgirlgeek11 because she is currently going through the writer's struggle write now, as well as many of my other fellow Wattpadian friends. Even I am experiencing self doubt and unpublishing some of my stories.

I hope you guys can get out of your writing funk and jump back into writing your creative stories, showing off your culture and imaginative thoughts.

As I said, JUST DO IT!!! :D

Btw, the picture up at the top is a thing I drew for my religion class. It represents my perspective lens of the world.
