And with these last words, she walks away, leaving me with a broken heart and in complete bewilderment. As her beautiful figure disappears behind the security of the airport, I finally turn away, and with one last tear falling down my eyes, I go back home.

Mayim's POV

I arrive at Jim's house about forty-five minutes after I left the lake house, and finally close the door of the place behind me to wait for him to get here.

Otis and Rufus' small, fluffy paws click on the marble floor of the house as they run to the entrance to greet the person who arrived as they always do, and I lean towards them to stroke their little heads.

As I walk to the kitchen, I glance to the clock hanging from the wall, and realize that it shouldn't be long until Jim arrives from leaving Amelie at the airport. I can't deny that a tear rolls down my cheek at the devastating thought of her leaving...going back to Colin's horrible way of life, to his threats and dark ways of loving. She doesn't deserve this, neither does Jim and Amelie's love.

When Amelie arrived back to the lake house alone from the woods this morning, I took the chance of talking to her privately, to say goodbye to her as the way we TRULY know each other. There were tears of course, cries, and sobs from her unexplainable un-want to go back to that man. I know what happened between Jim and Amelie last night, and I can't deny I fill from joy for them. This is the exact reason why I wanted them to be together on the day of their anniversary, so that they could celebrate it in the way they most probably would, even when one of them isn't aware of the reality.

I pour myself a glass of water from the cold fridge, and take a seat on the kitchen table. But even before I can take a second refreshing sip, the entrance door of the house bangs loudly as it is closed, and it takes me to a state of puzzlement. What could've happened between Jim and Amelie that made him so so mad??

"Jim?!" I shout from the kitchen, a little confusion in my voice. "Jim, are you—"

But as I open the door of the kitchen and take a step out...I realize it is not Jim. There is a familiar and very disturbing sound of expensive high heels stomping on the hard ground of the house, and my blood all rushes in anger immediately....Karen.

I can see her shadow getting closer and closer to the room, and as she sees my figure standing in the hall, her eyes suddenly turn to menacing, and her body tenses.

"YOU BITCH!!!!" she shots, rushing towards me. "YOU KNEW ALL ALONG! YOU WENT WITH HIM TO NEW YORK TO SEARCH FOR HER—"

"YOU KNOW WHAT, I did," I interrupt, looking at her in the eyes with explosive anger. "They deserve to be back together, they love each other, and not you nor Colin can change that!!!" I say, taking a step towards her. "Amelie got her memories back, and Jim fell in love with her when he met her in New York without even knowing that SHE IS HIS WIFE!"

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH," she explodes.

I can see that she is raging in anger, boiling, shaking...The difference is that she is not the only one. I am BURNING in anger even more.

"I won't shut my mouth because IT IS TRUE! Jim and Amelie got married a year ago! Why couldn't you and Colin just accept that?! Let them live their lives?! You had to come here and ruin their marriage, when they were the happiest couple I'd seen! You guys had to take away their memories and keep them away from each other! Then Amelie remembers, and instead of leaving her alone, Colin threatens her to kill Jim if she stays with him, or speaks a word. IT ISN'T FAIR!"

"LIFE is not fair, Mayim. Remember that. LIFE was unfair TO ME when I wanted to be with Jim and he rejected me because he was in love with Amelie. I also deserve to get my chance with—"

"DO YOU EVEN REMEMBER WHY YOU WANTED TO BE WITH HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE?!" I ask in unbelief at the ridiculousness of her words. "You never loved him!!! You DON'T love him! All you ever wanted from him was his fame and money!!! You even made Amelie's finacé cheat on her! And then you married him and then...you...killed him."

"Jason's alive," she spits with her arms crossed over her chest.

"I know, but that he's alive doesn't remove the fact that your plan was to kill him," I say, shaking in anger. "Just leave them alone, Karen." I feel suddenly defeated, in the total need to just bring things back to where they were. "Just leave them alone and go find a true love for your own. I am sure that there is such thing for you somewhere in this world, I am sure that even very very deep inside your person there is an existing spark of compassion and kindness...use it."

But Karen just stares at me in disgust, as if I had just said the most horrible thing to her.

"You're out of your mind," she states, and turns around, taking very slow steps away from me. "I won't ever let Jim go...and Colin will not let go of Amelie even if the world neared it's end—"

But she stops talking, stops in shock and fear in the middle of the hall we were discussing in, as there is the sound of steps, and Jim appears from behind the wall; his body tense, his arms crossed on his chest, and wearing an expression of the most burning and unexplainable anger that my eyes have ever witnessed, fixing his menacing stare on Karen....That's when I realize....he had been listening to our entire conversation all along....
