Time had stopped, but time had moved on, and the time had come. It was time to say goodbye. Lockwood stood next to George and took a deep breath as the doctor opened the door to Lucy's room, and they walked in.

The room looked exactly the same as it had yesterday, with clean, white walls and a strong scent of disinfectant. There was only one difference.

The bed was empty.

'Wha-'
'How-'
'Why-'

All three of the exclaimed at once.
'Where's Lucy gone?' Lockwood finally managed to ask.

'I-I don't know.' The doctor replied. 'I don't understand'.

She fled the room, in search of answers, while Lockwood and George remained standing there, stunned, shocked - and very confused.
