Plz don't hate me. I'm so sorry.

Taylor's pov

I woke up at 2 in the morning. I wasn't really sure why, I just sat up in bed and looked at my phone to see that it was 2:20. I decided that while I was awake I could go check on Summer. What I had realized as I walked down the hall was that the house was completely silent. Usually the CPAP makes a buzzing noise that could be heard faintly across almost the entire second floor. I started to get a little worried as I got closer to her room. I knew she could survive the night without it but to be honest, what she said before going to sleep about dying had scared me a little. I opened the door and looked at my sleeping child. Well, it seemed like she was sleeping. I waited for the rise and fall of her chest but nothing happened. She was just lying there lifelessly. I soon realized that something was seriously wrong.

The machine had been unplugged but the mask was still strapped over her nose. I quickly removed it and checked for breathing again by tilting her head back. "Summer?" I said, making sure she was completely unresponsive before I started doing CPR. Luckily I had taken a first aid class before I adopted her. I tried to not panic and focus on keeping her organs alive by doing chest compressions and rescue breaths to get oxygen back into her blood. After a minute I called 911. While I was on the phone with the operator I held her little hand which was ice cold.

"911 what's your emergency?"

"I found my five year old daughter unresponsive in her bed." I said. She asked me a few more questions before telling me that an ambulance was on its way. I continued to perform CPR until help arrived. I lifted his limp body out of bed and carried her out to the ambulance, they took her out of my arms and a woman told me to stand back while they attempted to restart her heart. I cupped my hands over my mouth and cried as they tried but failed to shock her heart back into action. She's gone. I thought before they tried again. Someone came up to me and said something but my vision was blurred with tears. My baby girl is gone. I fell to my knees and cried even harder as it started to become less surreal. Everything had happened so fast. I could barely see anything now, some of the other people in the neighborhood had left their houses and were now watching as the ambulance servicemen gave up on my daughter. The lights were the only thing visible and Before everything went black I could hear what sounded like Summer whispering:

"Don't miss me too much."
