*Sighs* Well, I guess it's now or never.
Good evening/morning/afternoon readers. It's me, Leonidas_Son_of_Nike, you're old friend and verbal punching bag. I guess the best way to start this off is with an apology. Back in April I posted in my message board and on some of my stories a good-bye. In it, I declared that I would be leaving Wattpad and turning over my account to someone. Well, It is four months later and here I am, the original, unchanged Leonidas, posting another part to this story. I suppose an apology is in order, so... sorry people. Also, I just recently moved into college (Go RPI Engineers!) so any updates I do post will not be very scheduled. I'll post when I can, but no promises.
Anyway, I guess all that's left is for you all to enjoy.

Present Day

Artemis

Why am I so nervous? I ask myself as Perseus and I appear in the middle of a crowded New York sidewalk. As usual, my senses are overloaded by the sights, sounds, and smells of the Big Apple. New York certainly is a big apple. A big, rotting, disgusting, pock-marked apple. I hate this place. It's a hunter's nightmare. There are too many things going on. It's-

"You're still holding his hand." The goddess of love's voice appears in my head.

I jump a little and quickly let go of Perseus' hand, "What are you doing? Get out of my head!"

Aphrodite's giggle pierces me like an arrow, "Sorry dear, you've caught the Me bug. I will always be here now."

Perseus looks over at me, "Hey Artemis, are you okay?"

"Yeah." I take a breath, "Um, yes Perseus, I am perfectly fine."

He looks a little uncertain, but nods, "If you say so. Come on, the place is not too far from here."

I watch for a moment as Perseus weaves effortlessly through the crowded street. Even dressed in his Guardian uniform, he appears so comfortable in the city. The city is not my domain. There are too many variables. I can't keep track of them all. How does anyone keep track of all of this? Yet Perseus moves so smoothly through the crowd, it seems as if the people part to allow him to pass. I try my best to follow. A man tries to offer me a hot dog. I refuse but he continues to try and seel me fried foods of various origins. Perseus appears next to me and redirects the man's attention elsewhere.

Ten minutes later, the two of us are standing outside a little coffee shop called Mortal Musings. The building is not any different from the others on the street, but the outdoor seating and plants brighten up the place a little more. There are not many people there at this moment. Two older men are playing a game of chess at a table. A man and woman sit together and eye us before going back to their drinks.

A small bell rings as Perseus opens the door. At this moment, a young girl behind the counter calls out, "Percy! Long time no see!

Perseus

"Hey Alex, how's it going?" I wave at the girl behind the counter, "Things going okay with Xander?"

Alex rolls her eyes, "He's decided that he's going to try being 'romantic' or something. He brought me a rose yesterday."
