Chapter Five

Our laughs and conversation filled up the corridor of the empty mall as we walked towards the exit. I can tell you a lot of this conversation was filled with smiling and his beautiful dimples (may have a slight obsession with his dimple, the fetish is real).

Once we got outside, we realized the only thing opened was a mcdonald's that was a 25 minute walk away. But I didn't mind walking anywhere if it meant I could to go with Simon. We continued to walk down the street lamp lit road.

*20 minutes later*

"So, what's your job?" Digging his hands in his pockets.

"Oh, I don't have one." I replied shivering a little.

"Wait so what brings you to London?" He asked looking down at his feet.

"I'm a second year uni student." I slowly replied taking a deep breath in.

"oh seriously? How old are you?" He said looking me up and down.

"I'm turning twenty later this year." I stated smiling at him. He stopped me in his tracks and looked me in the eyes seriously, I slowly started trembling waiting for the rejection that might come. "Wait actually?" He asked, I nodded with fear in my eyes and then he bursted out laughing.

"I'm turning 24 this year." He stated shaking his head jokingly.

"You scared me for a second" I spoke rubbing my arm a little, cause I fucking forgot my jacket when I left in a hurry.

"Why?" he raised his eyebrows curiously.

"Afraid you were gonna reject me because of my age." I mumbled followed by a sigh.

"I wouldnt do that to you." his tone changed into a soft comforting one. It relaxed me, it made me feel at home somehow. But I mean I only really just met this guy.

We got in front of mcdonalds, Simon holding the door for me. I thanked him and waited as we walked to the counter together. He gestured for me to order first, which lets say I did a little to confidently.

"One double cheeseburger set with 10 piece nuggets please." I ordered without hesitation. I turned around to see Simon's face painted with a shocked expression.

"What?" I asked with a slight smile.

"You ordered no problem." He replied his eyebrows furrowed jokingly. He ordered his food and proceeded to take his wallet out but before he could I had already whipped mine and paid before I started walking to a table.

"Hey!" He joked jogging towards me grabbing my arm. "You shouldn't have paid, let me pay you back."

"It's okay." I looked up at him seeing his blue eyes staring at me straight back. He grinned leaning in, I could still feel his hand soften as he was still holding me. Then my phone vibrated ruining the entire moment (cliche ikr but I had to). I smiled awkwardly at him as we both pulled back realizing the situation. He went to sit down as I grabbed my phone.
