Chapter Eleven

** This is basically part two of chapter ten I just came up with its because I wanted a cute Joshaya moment hope you enjoy  **

Maya and Josh continued to watch Clueless, but somewhere along the way Maya had fallen asleep and so did Josh. She was awoken but her cellphone ringing, it was Riley. She was a bit groggy but when she saw the time on her phone she thought her eyes were deceiving her.

"Hello?" she answered Riley a bit shaky.

"Do you have any idea what time is is it's almost 1 are you at Josh's?? I've been calling you every five minutes" Riley was practically screaming through the phone, awaking Josh from his sleep-sort of.

"Maya?" he asked still half asleep,she hushed him as she continued to speak to Riley, "I didn't know it was this late I think I'm just going to stay here the bus route send at 12 anyway" Maya had never spent the night before at Josh's she hope it wasn't going to be to weird for him, at this point she had no choice.

"Are you sure?" Riley asked on the other end.

"Yes I'm sure" she said looking at Josh, who fell back asleep, she couldn't help but gaze at him he was beautiful.

"I'll meet you at school then?"Riley still sounded unsure about leaving Maya with Josh, but there was a first time for everything.

"Yes you will, goodnight sunshine love you so much" Maya said to her.

"I love you too peaches" and with that Riley hanged up. Maya placed her phone down, it was just her and Josh now. She got up from the couch not trying to make much sound and paced back and forth a little, thinking how Josh would react with her staying the night. She could either go to his room now to sleep and not disturb him but how would that play out in the morning when he finds her still here? Then she thought she could go back in place and fall asleep on the couch..however a couch is still a couch making it uncomfortable to sleep on. She stopped pacing and walked back slowly sitting next to him again. She shook him a bit, "Josh" she said but he didn't move. She shook him a bit harder, "Josh wake up". Who would of that he was a heavy sleeper. Maya looked at his face and her eyes went straight to her lips. She smirked and had an idea. She leaned in and softly placed her lips on his and slowly began to kiss him. For the first few seconds it was just her making all the effort but quickly Josh returned her actions. She pulled away and saw his eyes were wide open.

"I should fall asleep more often if I knew I would wake up to that" he mentioned to Maya trying not to grin. Maya couldn't help but laugh at his cuteness.

"Listen don't freak out" she started to say, "but it's kind of one in the morning and buses have stopped their routes so I'm kind of well stuck here...for the night"she finished nervously. Josh kind of gave her a weird look she hadn't seen that look before, was he mad? Upset? Confused?

"Why would I freak out? You do realize you can stay the night whenever you want. I have no problem with I just didn't know if you were ready for that kind of step yet"Maya was relived at what he said, truthfully she was worried about staying over only because she didn't know if he would like that or not.

"I just assumed the worst when it comes to this stuff sorry I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything" she wanted to reassure him.

"Babe it's fine, let's just head to bed we both have school in the morning might as well get some rest"he said as he took her hand and started walking to his room. Maya stopped in her trance, "I can sleep on the couch it's fine I don't want to bother you" she didn't know Josh wanted her to sleep in his bed.

"Don't be ridiculous my bed is big enough for the both of us, and we both know the couch is not comfortable" he smiled trying to make Maya feel better.

"Okay" was all she could say. They both entered his room, a typical guy room was all that came to her mind. A bed, closet, dresser, and a desk. She noticed a board hanging above his desk with photographs.

"Did you take all of this? She said astonished by how beautiful each picture was captured.

"Yeah, I just held the camera and that's what happened" he sort of yelled Maya could tell he was in the bathroom across the hall. She was too busy looking at all the pictures to hear Josh came back in the room.

"Here I brought you a shirt and shorts" he said, Maya turned around to see Josh only in his boxers.

"Oh my god" she shrieked closing her eyes "I'm sorry I shouldn't have turned around-I" she stopped talking she could feel herself burning. She was still covering her eyes as she heard Josh come closer, he took her hands away from her face he was looking right at her.

"You don't have to be embarrassed Maya it's only me...but you know shirtless" Maya gulped, "I'm not-It's just that I was surprised" she looked at him from head to toe, "And I didn't want to stare but it's hard not to when your boyfriend is this good looking" she said laughing.

Josh kissed her nose, "You're so damn cute" he said and gave her a shirt and a pair of shorts.

"Now put this on so you're comfortable sleeping, please" Maya agreed and took the clothes with her to the bathroom. How did she get this lucky to be with Josh? Whenever she felt embarrassed he always gave her a reason not to be. She couldn't help it though, she had never been in a relationship before, let alone a serious relationship with someone she has crushed on for years. She wasn't experienced as Josh, and sometimes that worried her. At this point Maya was over thinking too much yet again. She shook her head trying to clear her thoughts as she changes into an over sized shirt and gym shorts. Looking in the mirror she felt goofy, but hey what can you do on such short notice she thought. Before heading back she put her hair in a bun and washed her face. She closed the bathroom door behind her and went across the hall to Josh's she could see him already in bed.

Josh looked at her and laughed, "Wow you look-"

"Silly?" Maya interjected.

He shook his head, "Beautiful" he said softly.

Maya smiled as she closed the bedroom door and made her way to his bed. She lifted her side of the sheets as she was getting into his bed adjusting herself along the way. She was finally in a comfortable position, she looked over at Josh who was about to turn off his lamp

"You okay?" Maya looked at him,"I'm more than okay, I'm perfect".

He proceeded to turn of the lights and it was just the two of them in his bed. A few minutes had gone by and she turned to side having her back face Josh. Maya wasn't nervous but she could feel her heart beating faster than usual. Suddenly, she felt his arms around making her gasp a little.

"You alright Maya?" he whispered.

Maya turned back around, they were both looking at each other.

"I love you" she whispered back to him.

"I love you more" Josh said kissing her forehead.

And with his words, her heart was steady.
