Alex's POV
Stiles took Brett to Deaton, while Scott stayed with Liam after Violet was arrested.

I on the other hand just got the title for the worst alpha of the year.

Chase is missing...

I've been in the woods for hours and I can't find him, he doesn't have a phone cause all of his family is dead.

Then I saw Garrett, "You know Alex even though I missed Liam I'm pretty sure I won't miss Chase." He said before his dagger went right through Chase's chest.

Alice- I'm going to kill him!

I could feel the shift about to come but Garret was already gone.

I ran over to Chase catching him in my arms.

"I-Its okay." He said

"No, it's not I don't-

"It doesn't hurt Alex." He said

"Chase I'm sorry I did this to you," I said as tears fell

"You know you were the first person to care so much about me other than my sister." He said blood staining his lips

"Thanks, A-Alex." He said he said before his heart stopped beating

I sat there feeling like someone just ripped my heart out like...I lost a limb.

All I could do was sit there, I was there for his first full moon, he was like a little brother to me and I lost him.

He was gone...

I wasn't sure how long I sat there till I got a call from Stiles.

"Alex you need to come to my house it's urgent." He said

"Stiles now-

"Alex's dad was the cipher key to break the third list," Stiles said

"And-

But I hung up I didn't want to hear the rest.

I just lost my beta, and now my dad is next.

I found a place for Chase so no one finds him, but it took me over an hour to leave and head back home.

Scott texted me that Garrett was dead, and so is Violet and how Garrett tried to kill Liam but luckily Scott was able him.

They called Violet and Garrett the Orphans.

Once I got home and got my room I sunk to the floor.

Why was my life so messed up?
