"Chapter 6~The Tell."

Alex's POV

Once we found out that the alpha attacked another person my Dad called Scott to meet at the video game store.

I saw that Jackson was arguing with the Sheriff and I also saw Lydia she looked absolutely terrified.

"Starting to get it?" Dad asked

"I get that he's killing people but I don't get why I mean, this isn't standard practice right?" Scott asked

"We don't go out in the middle of the night murdering everyone do we?" Scott asked

" No we're predators we don't have to be killers." my dad said

"Why is he a killer?" Scott asked

"That's what we're going to find out," I said

We go back to the Hale house as Scott and my dad started to argue.

"You know I have a life you know," Scott said

"No, you don't," Dad said

"Yes, I do!" Scott snapped

"I don't care what you say about him making me his pet or..." Scott said

"Part of his pack." I corrected

"Whatever I have homework to do I have to go to a parent/teacher conference tomorrow cause I'm failing chemistry," Scott said

"You wanna do homework or do you want to not die." my dad said

"You have least than a week till the full moon you don't kill with him he kills you." my dad said

"Okay, seriously who made up these rules?" Scott asked

"It's a rite of passage into his pack," Derek said

"You know what else is a rite of passage graduating high school and you don't have to kill anyone to do it!" Scott said

"He's kinda got point there," I said as my dad just glares at me.

"Why can't you just find him yourself why can't you just scent him out when he is a human?" Scott said

"Because his human scent could be entirely different it has to be you." He said

"You have a connection with him a link that you can't understand if I can teach you to control your abilities you can find him." my dad said

"So if I help you can stop him?" Scott asked

"Not alone were are stronger in numbers the pack makes the individual more powerful," I said remembering what my dad taught me.

"How can I help when I have no idea what I'm doing?" Scott asked

"Cause I'm going to teach you." my dad repeats

"Do you remember what happened that first night you were shot in the arm?" I asked Scott

"Yeah, I changed back," Scott said

"And when you were hit by his car the same thing right?"

He nodded his head "What's the common denominator?" my dad asked

Scott shook his head my dad grabbed his hand crushing his fingers.

"What the heck are you doing?" Scott asks as he sinks to the floor clutching his hand.

"It'll heal," Dad said

"It still hurts," Scott said

"And that's what keeps you human pain," Dad said seeing that Scott's hand healed
