After her father dies Mia moves across the country with her mother, so that they can live closer to her uncle.

Cole's POV
Tension fills the room as all members of the council gather around the table. This meeting is not going as any of us had imagined. Dad sits at the head of the table, I am to his left and Beck, his Beta, is to his right.
"We should think about setting up a bigger defense in case the Silver Moon pack plans on crossing over on our territory any time soon." Markus says as he writes something on his MacBook.
"They live all the way up in Okanagan, we would find out pretty quickly if they were travelling down here." My father says, dismissing the subject.
"At the moment they have more allies than we do, which means they could easily travel across the country without us noticing." Markus argues back.
"They don't have anything to attack. You don't need to get your panties all in a twist." I sneer as I spin a pen on my fingers.
"Cole that is enough from you!" My dear father snaps at me before he turns back to Markus. Apparently he has not gotten over the fact I slept through the first part of the meeting yesterday morning. My mind happened to be occupied by something else. Or better said someone else.
