Lexie's POV
I walk into the hospital and see that I'm on Derek's service and for a second I feel a sense of relief, I rounded the corner of the nurses station and see Derek, I start to walk towards him but then Mark approaches him "crap" I whisper to myself I turn around and walk away as fast as I could but it wasn't fast enough, "Dr. Grey" Derek says "I see your on my service" I turn around and I see Mark and Derek staring at me.
"What, i mean yes, yes I'm on your service I mean why wouldn't I be on your service?!"
"Um" Derek says clearly sensing the tension, Mark most likely told him everything "why don't you get the patient prepped for surgery, I'll see you in the OR."
"Ok" I say as I start to feel my face getting red I can sense Mark staring at me, I excuse myself from the situation and go get the patient prepped. As I am getting the patient prepped I realize that he had multiple burns on the chest, arms, and stomach and I worry that these burns would get treated in the OR, I walk over to the OR board and sure enough Mark and Derek are operating, what am I gonna do?! I ask myself, I approach Derek about the situation
"Hey, Dr.Sheared, I don't know if I'm gonna scrub in on this one.."
"Why not?" I hear Mark say
Crap I think, he was not supposed to hear that! "Well I just have a lot of charting to do..." I say looking at the ground. Mark and Derek exchange a glance and then I hear Mark say
"so Lex is there any time we can, I don't know, talk maybe.."
I cut him off and say "I don't think that's necessary, I mean what I said was out of line and I still can't believe I did that!"
"I love you too" I hear Mark say
"What?!" I say looking into his eyes
"I believe my words were, I love you too."
"You do?" I ask with hope in my eyes
"Of course I do Lex" he says "and I always will."
