"So you just ran out?" Kyle asked his pastel haired friend as they sat in the lunch room. They were talking about the past weekends adventure, but of course all good things must come to an end at some point. It'd been almost a week and neither of them have seen the boys. Kyle has talked to Michael, but Ezra has been distancing herself from Luke.

After Luke asked her to his girlfriend she ended up walking out of his house without a word being said. It wasn't that she didn't want to be his, she was scared of commitment. She was afraid something would happen and Luke would end up like her father. No matter how many times Luke claimed to think she was beautiful or that she was his girl, she couldn't help but have a twist of heart. She didn't want to get hers broken.

"I didn't know what to say Kyle. He kinda just asked me spontaneously." Ezra shrugged her shoulders, looking at her food. She didn't remember hardly anything from that night.

"God, Ezra you were supposed to say yes. Luke likes you so much." Kyle laughed, almost in a mocking way towards her. He didn't understand why she'd run from someone who cared so deeply about her. Kyle could see the love in his eyes overtime he looked at Ezra. His eyes would shine a much brighter blue and he'd get all giddy and excited when he heard her voice.

"He keeps asking about you. Every time I go to see Michael, Luke is either drawing things in his book of tattoos or playing his guitar while drinking his life away. He's heartbroken Ezra and all he asks is for you to just talk to him. Telling him how you feel and why you're so hesitant. It's not your father Ezra. You're still hung up on Jessie and you need to get over him."

Ezra's last boyfriend Jessie was a friend of Kyle's. They'd met at a family party and hit it off really well till he cheated on her multiple times with different women and one guy. She never judged Jessie's sexuality, but she couldn't help but feel that she was responsible for their breakup. She wouldn't have sex with him so he went and found people to have that connection.

"I can't Kyle. He was the first person I ever loved like that. No matter how hurt I was I still took him back because I loved him."

"No Ezra. You loved the thought of being loved by him. You and Luke have this connection that you and Jessie never did. You are so fucking in love with Luke, but are still hungover about Jessie. Wake up and realize that there is a guy right now at his flat getting shit-faced because you can't see how in love with you he is."

It was the end of the school day and all Ezra could think about was what Kyle had said to her during lunch. Was she really so clouded by the way Jessie had once loved her to not realize how Luke felt about her. Of course she knew how much Luke liked her, but loved? That was something he didn't feel towards her, or so she thought.

When she felt her phone vibrate she pulled it out of her pocket and looked to see a text message. It was from Michael and the first she'd gotten from him since the last time she saw him.

Cliffoconda: Hey Ezra, I hate to ask, but can you please come talk to Luke. He hasn't come out of his room and I'm scared. I know what happened between you two because he told me, but Luke really does care about you and wants to be with you for you. Not for sex or anything else. He wants to be with you to share a life with you. I don't know why you are so hesitant towards this, but just talk to him. You might benefit from it.
