Chapter 7

"Wise men say..." I started to sing.
Shawn just looked at me with his dark, handsome eyes.
"Cause I can't help falling in love with you...." I finished the chorus.
"Take my hand, take my whole life too." Shawn sang PERFECTLY!
Then we sang together, "Cause I can't help falling in love wth you." We ended.
The crowd cheered.
Then one girl shouted, "ARE YOU GUYS DATING?"
Shawn and I looked at each other.
"Yes. We are." I said pulling Shawn in for a hug.
Shawn took it the wrong way and went in for a kiss. I didn't want to reject him in front of all these people.
So I kissed him. It was about a 5 second kiss. Not too showy.

Then Magcon was over for the night.

I was laying in my bed around midnight. Everyone was asleep except the Jack's and Shawn. They were in the living room playing video games.

I couldn't fall asleep. I walked into the living room.
"Lydia, what are you doing up?" Shawn asked.
"I couldn't fall asleep." I whined.
"Come here." He grabbed me by the waist and sat me on his lap.
We started to cuddle.
"Ew. You guys are cute. It's disgusting." Gilinsky joked.
Shawn grabbed my hand and walked me to my room.
I yawned great big.
He picked me up and placed me on the bed. He got in too.
Butterflies overflowed my stomach.
"Shawn, I-" I started to say something.
"Don't worry, I'm only staying in here until you fall asleep." Shawn started to rub my back.
I turned over and faced him.
"I love you." I said smiling.
"I love you more." He leaned in and kissed my cheek.
"Now, go to sleep." He started massaging my back until I fell asleep.

"WAKE UP!!!!" I heard someone screech. I jumped up out of bed and walked across the hall where the sound came from.
It was Cam. He was jumping up and down on Nash's bed.
I walked in and grabbed ahold of Cam's arm.
"What the heck are you doing?" I sassed.
"Jumping. Now let go!" He yelled.
By now everyone was awake and yelling from their room.
"SHUTUP!" Matt shouted.
Shawn walked out of his room and into ours.
He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"What's going on in here?" He said yawning.
"IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!" Cam screamed really loud.
"Really? I didn't know that. What do you want to do today?" I asked slightly feeling bad that no one remembered.

"Well, we have Magcon at 6....so we have to be here at 5." Cam started to think.
"I was thinking the zoo! And a birthday lunch!" He put his hands together and pleaded like a kid.
"Sounds good to me." I smiled.
Everyone agreed.

About an hour later we were heading to the zoo.
"Why did you choose the zoo?" I asked Cam in the limo.
"I don't know, just sounded fun. And I love animals. But mostly I chose it because we've all been working a lot lately. I thought we could use a little break." Cam answered.
"That's too true." I said giggling.

"11 adults please." Taylor was at the zoo register getting our tickets.
He came back with our tickets and put we put on wristbands.
"Let's go already!" Cam yelled and ran in.

Shawn grabbed my hand and we all ran in.
"We have to go to the dolphin show." I said looking down at the map almost running into a pole- Shawn grabbed me and pushed me out of the way.
"Oops." I said.

"Look at that one!" I yelled. We were in the dolphin/whale show.
I was sitting next to Shawn and Cam.
"That was so cool!" Cam shouted.
"Yeah, that was awesome!" Shawn agreed.

-ding ding-

"I got a text from Bart." I said loud enough for everyone to hear me.

Bart: Lydia? WHERE IS EVERYONE? Get everyone back to the hotel now. Something has happened. NOW!

Goosebumps covered my body.
"I'm scared." I said seriously.
We all ran out to the limo.
We had spent almost 3 hours at the zoo, so I consider it a success.

We walked into the hotel and Bart was sitting on the couch on the phone.
"What the heck?" I said.
"Let's go find out." Cam said.
We walked over there and Bart finally saw us.....
I was squeezing Shawn's hand until he had to whisper in my ear.
"It's going to be okay." I loosened up a little bit.

"Okay, so we all have something to talk about." Bart started off.
We were all in a big meeting room like you see in the movies. Where the business worker gets fired because his presentation was sabotaged.
I was still holding onto Shawn's hand.

"Who knows about Jake? Jake Cooper?" The words came out of his mouth. I just stared. I hated those words. It stung.
All eyes were on me. Shoot. I have to say something.
"He's my ex-boyfriend." I confessed.
"Oh, really?" Bart said suspiciously.
"Yeah." I started to feel like I was going to vomit.
"He has posted rumors about our company, you all, and most importantly inappropriate pictures of you Lydia." He looked like the emoji with smoke coming out of his nose 😤
"Wait! What inappropriate pictures?" I asked frightened.
"Some with you in your undergarments." He said like he was from the 1950s.
Then he showed them on the projector.
It was me in my bra and underwear. Asleep. Or should I say- pretty much drugged until I couldn't open my eyes.
Bart looked at me like he needed an explanation.
Tears filled my eyes.
I ran out. Slamming the door behind me.
Shawn, Nash, and Hayes ran after me.
"It's going to be okay." Shawn started rubbing my back.
"What the heck was that Lydia?" He shouted.
"Do you really want to know Nash?!?" My voice got loud and angry.
"Yes!" He yelled back.
"Well, the week before Magcon- Jake took me to a party. Well actually he dragged me to a party. He drugged me and then got me drunk. He took my clothes off and took pictures. Then...I'm pretty sure he raped me!" I yelled not knowing how loud I was.
Shawn grabbed me while I cried in his arms.
Nash looked like he had seen a puppy get ran over. Shocked and sad.
Hayes grabbed tissues and gave them to me.
"Lydia. I'm so sorry- I didn't kn-" Nash started.
"WELL NOW YOU KNOW!" I shouted and then ran up to my room.

Oh my gosh. Did I just tell them that?
Oh gosh...this isn't good.
Then my phone dinged.
Babe❤️ (Shawn)- Hey, we're going to eat. Be back at 8. Love you😘
Me: okay. Love you too❤️

I locked my phone and then decided to go for a walk. I needed to clear my head.
I put in my earbuds and turned on Demi, Ariana, One Direction, and Fifth Harmony.
Then I started walking down the sidewalk.
"I should be wiser and realize that I got!" Ariana screamed in my ears.
Then someone grabbed me and pulled me in a dark ally.
"What?!" I screamed until I felt someone's hand on my mouth.
