Heart of Dark

No amount of fire ash or light shall heal mine heart

For broken is he by the blade of tongue and sting of love

My life is crush my dream oppressed

I pass around in sorrow for the one I never truly had

Because for this broken soul a hug and a kiss and hold of hand

Shall just increase my time in thee guilty land

I watched from far and now far away

Only then did I see what lay in store for me

A lie and the pain of a broken heart

Quicken their pace for my time is closing

Let the pain be undone and the life be spared

Let the wise men try to heal a heart with fire and stone

Let the fighting boys try to heal it with sword

Let the religious ones try to heal it with life and serenity

But harken when I say that thou shall not try to heal what cannot be healed

To save what cannot be saved by the sword and the hot fires of old

Nothing can sooth this rousing pain

This turmoil that rocks and rumbles to face my dreams

Never again shall I listen to what I think I should say to get back my heart

A mistake I made when I ever did say

Now I’m sitting alone in my house until the day I die

Unless another one shall come on by

Alone then no longer my poor soul would be

Then finally I would be free
