"Why am I so bad at this?", you retort out loud. You stare aways in front of you at the target you are trying to hit then see your arrow on the ground. Lining your bow up to the target, you let go and it hits below the target on the tree. You smile to yourself, "At least I finally hit something." You bring your bow up and let the string go and see a certain brown haired bow walk through and dodge it like it was no problem. He was so attractive and you had been crushing on him since he and his dad rescued you from being walker bait.

Every two days you would go outside of Alexandria to practice your weapon skills. Use to surviving out in the woods, you thought it would help you focus more where you grew up. Obviously it's still not working.

Carl looked at the ground where your arrows lay then looks to you and starts laughing. "It's not funny.", you scold and cross your arms.

"How is it not?", Carl questions, "You haven't hit the target once." You sit on the rock that was previously holding your arrows. Carl sits on the rock next to you, "Im sorry, Y/N, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

You prop your face up with your arms, "No its not that, its just you all are so good with guns and knifes and I cant even master to simply put an arrow through a target."

"It takes practice, and you are good at a lot of other things.", Carl reassures.

You roll your eyes and face him, "Oh yeah, like what? And Ive been practicing for weeks."

"Well you are good at scavenging, tracking, and looking so hot when you get frustrated.", Carl flirts and you blush. "And maybe you don't have the right teacher, get up.", Carl stands and reaches to take your hand and pulls you up with him. He grabs your bow and has you take it. Carl picks up an arrow and places it on the string and in your hands. He stands behind you and fixes your stance and hand positions. His hands are now on yours and his body is very close.

Your mind was racing with so many different thoughts and you couldn't stay still. Your legs kept repositioning and your eyes wouldn't focus. "Stay still and look down the arrow at the target.", he giggles.

"There's no use Carl, this isn't going to work.", then he had your hands let go of the arrow and it flew right on the target.

You turn around in shock. "What about it not going to work?", Carl smiles.

You smile too and hug him gently, "Thank you, Carl."

"Didn't hit the center but you'll get there.", we pull apart and look at the target again. "If you would have quit squirming, that arrow would have hit it."

"If you would have quit making me nervous, I would have been able to focus.", you debate.

Carl laughs, "How did I make you nervous?"

"You were so close and were breathing on me. So yea, you made me nervous."

Carl pulls you close, your foreheads just a bit away and stares into your eyes, "You mean like this ?"

You stare into his eyes and couldn't help but reposition your legs again. Carl smirks and moves his hands from your shoulder to your waist. "Or like this?", Carl pulls you even closer, both of your hips touching each other. Carl caresses your cheek, "What about this, Y/N? Does this make you nervous?"

You try to nod 'yes' and Carl leans in, closing his eyes until he was a centimeter from your lips. Then he stops for a second and turns around and starts to walk back to Alexandria.

You stand there in confusion and a little annoyance. You walk fast behind him to catch up and you pull his arm to turn around. "What the hell was tha-", Carl turns around and locks your lips. His hands hold your hips and you both passionately kiss. His hands move up to your waist and yours move to his neck.

You both pull away gasping for air. You lock your foreheads and both are smiling like crazy. "Did that make you nervous?", you ask looking into his eyes. You both laugh and intertwine your fingers beside your heads.
