The next day, Niall was a bit... scared with going into work this afternoon. He knew that Harry was going to be there in the same spot he is every day, waiting for a confrontation about yesterday. And Niall wasn't sure if he was ready for that. He doesn't want Harry to say that he never wants to see him ever again.

"Niall? Mate, I've gotta go." Liam said to Niall, waving his hand in front of his face.

"Hm? Oh, why?" Niall asked, tilting his head to the side. Right now, Liam and Niall were sitting in Niall's kitchen, working on their music project.

"I've gotta meet up with Danielle, we have to work on our project as well, mate." Liam said, packing up his things and getting ready to stand up.

"Oh, I supposed you do." Niall answered, also standing up and checking the time. "I've got to go to work anyways."

"Oh. Okay, have... um... fun? Don't get too upset by Harry, okay?" Liam said to his friend, patting him on the back and making his way outside.

Niall decided then and there that he did not want to go into work today. He could call up sick, but when does James ever believe him? So Niall called up Josh and told him to tell James that Niall was sick. Sure, he'll deduct his pay check, but at least Niall doesn't have to go to work.

Harry grinned as he woke up that morning, his bones cracking in all the right ways. He pulled on some black silk pyjama pants and strode out to the kitchen, sitting down at the bar and eating some breakfast. He was in a good mood after last night.

"Was it good, Si— Harry?" Louis asked Harry, his voice a little timid. You never know, it might have gone bad and Harry was just in a good mood.

"It was beautiful! Perfect! Excellent!" Harry exclaimed as he shoved a piece of toast in his mouth. Harry was grinning at Louis with a mouth full of food, making the older, smaller boy laugh.

"So are you going to see him again?" Louis asked, trying to make it sound casual. To be honest, Louis was excited himself. It was about time that Harry settled down, man or woman. It didn't matter. Louis just wanted his best friend to be in a steady, healthy relationship.

"Oh yes. Last night was so perfect; I just have to see him again." Harry answered, scooping eggs into his mouth next. "Maybe tonight, if he lets me."

"Did you guys kiss?" Louis asked, giving Harry a sceptical look.

Harry almost choked on his eggs.

"Lou! No! We didn't kiss! You don't kiss on a first date." Harry said firmly, but his thoughts became smaller with the look Louis gave him, "... don't you?"

"Depends on how close you think you guys are, I suppose." Louis finally answered Harry.

Harry groaned. "Louis! That doesn't help, mate."

Louis kept his mouth shut and shrugged his shoulders, walking away from Harry and going to his own room, deciding to clean it.

Harry sat at the breakfast bar, his mind whirling. Should he have kissed Niall last night? No, it was okay. He can kiss Niall whenever he wants. Sure, he wants to feel Niall's lips on his own, finding out what a wonderful feeling it would be, but he can wait. Surely he can wait.
