I sat in the Woolpacks little apartment chatting with Chas. It had been so many years since I moved here. So many years since year 2000.
"How's Aaron?", I ask gently. Knowing that Aaron wasn't in his happiest state right now.
"I don't even know. One moment he's all tough and in the other he's breaking down", Chas says cleary stressed.
"It's hard to get the tough guy look when something like that hunts you. And I speak from experience.", I say sadly. "But that to happen to him when he is a mere kid and by his own father"I take a sharp intake breath.
"You should go to Aaron. He needs a knowing help right now. Cain is somewhere, who knows where", Chas was clearly worried. But now was Sonja too. She knew what Cain could do when he's angry.
"You know where he is and so do I Chas", I say pointetly. "He'll kill that bastard", I continue. Then we hear door slam.
"Hi, Aaron", I smile sweetly."you okay there?", I ask.
"Yeah", he sighs. I put my hand on his shoulder as he begins to demand about Cain.
((((((((((((()))))))))))))
We walked in to Gordon's house, just as Cain was about to hit him with a chair.
"Cain!", I snap. He freezes as he sees me, Chas and Aaron.
"Aaron doesn't want you to do this", I whisper walking over to him. I look at Gordon with disgust. "Even though he deserves it", I spit on him. Then I look at Aaron waiting him to say something.
"I don't want you having to carry guilt because of me", he says to Cain.
Chas and Cain look at each other with look that says 'should we kill Gordon or not?'
This is lot more messes up then we thought.
((((((((((()))))))))))
I stood with Cain and Chas in Cain and Moira's place. Biting my nails at my nervousness. And anger. God I don't like Moira. She's too...wimpy? If that's even a word.
"Aaron did a brave thing, but what if Gordon tells about you and you little experiments", I ask looking at Cain.
"Experiments?", he asks.
"Oh yeah, it was not just yesterday that you tried to kill him", I mock smiling over to sweetly.
"I did not try to kill him. I was helping him to do it by himself", he retorted. I raised my brow and he just smirked.
The doorbell rang. I sat next to Chas on the sofa as Moira went to open it.
We waited our faces calm, but insides crawling. And I was right. It was the police.
They went on about the thing. Gordon had told them about Cain. And denied his own charges.
"Cain has an alibi, he was with me", I say outloud. "We were in here having dinner", I continue.
"Is there any witness?"
"me and Moira, we were all here. Like now. We were just about to start cooking", Chas says nervously gripping my hand.
Luckily they bought it. And left.
I took a shaky breath, my anxiousness seeping through and my hands shaking. Cain put his hands on my shoulders rubbing them.
"Relax your shoulders. And thanks. You saved a whole lot of asses there. But still, we should have killed him", he chuckles.
I look at him pointetly before I groan a little as he keeps trying to relax me.
"You're welcome, but I need to go see Jimmy. and I need to go before World war three", I mutter the last part, looking at Moira's. Umm not so happy face.
I felt bad for her. She had to stand Cain Dingle in her house. And keep up with him. And now he isn't even comforting his own wife.
"I'm okay Cain, seriosly", I smile standing up.
Now to Jimmy's.
