Hands up if Surah Rahman is your favourite Surah!

*jumps up*

We all love Surah Rahman for it's mesmerising rhythm and goosebumps-inducing usage of words. But seldom do we dwell on the inner meaning of this Surah.

Rahman : Root word - Rahm; which also means womb.

Like a mother takes care of the child in her womb, not caring how he/she would grow up to be, Allah takes care of all our needs before we're even capable of asking.

His blessings are abundant as He lists some in this Surah, repeatedly asking how many favours of Ar-Rahman we would deny.

Don't be of the people who deny Allah's favours - Be grateful.

For the food on your plate, the roof over your head, the air in your lungs, the family you love, for this Ramadan for every tiny blessing and above all, be grateful that Allah guided you to be a Muslim.

I want to write more but I don't think I'll be able to do justice to the awesome lessons that come out of this Surah.

Learn this from our favorite ustadh himself.
