Chapter Twelve~ Charlotte's POV

"Let go off me!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, my fists slamming against Chase's hard back.

He had officially been carrying me over his shoulder for about seven miles now, and I still haven't stopped my protesting. I hoped desperately that he would listen to me and have a change of heart, then take Amity and I back to the pack house. I didn't want to believe that he was actually working with rouges.

Abruptly, I felt a change of atmosphere, and knew that we had entered some kind of building. There was a blinding white lights as thousands of whispers fluttered through the hallway. I would of looked up to take in my surroundings, but it was kind of hard with myself hanging over Chase's shoulders. I could barley make out the shoes of people on the floor, as my mate swiftly walked through the hallway.

Finally, I heard the heart-wrenching sounds of Amity's sobs and sniffles from behind me. I had to struggled with the strong urge to join her. None of us wanted this. This? I still wasn't sure what this was. Why exactly why were we taken here? What did these rogues want with Amity? Most of all, why was my mate working with these horrid filth.

Chase suddenly dropped me from his shoulder and onto the cold tile floor. I glanced back at his handsome face, glaring daggers.

"Thanks," I growled, jumping back up.

I glanced around to see hundreds of rogues rushing around, many stopping to gawk openly at Chase and I. We were in a passage full of doors, probably leading to other rooms filled with who-knows-what. One thing I notice greatly, was that Amity, Annie, and that other girl, who looked strangley like Annie, were completely gone. Where had they gone in those two minutes?

Flustered, I whirled back around to Chase before shoving him in the chest hard, ignoring the fact that I was surrounded by rogues who could rip off my face. I was so mad.

"Where did she go," I screamed.

"Charlotte, please calm down. Not here and not now. I'll explain everything-," Chase said, but I cut him off.

"You listen to me!" I growled,"Tell me where the hell Amity is because I swear that if anything happens to her, I will..."

I trailed off, not knowing what to say.

"You'll do what?' Chase urged on, his own anger spiking.

I clenched my fists till my knuckles turned the color of winter's snow. I took a deep breath, and squared my gaze with him, then spoke the truth.

"I'll reject you."

Amity's POV

I was pushed roughly through a door by Annie's wicked sister, Roxie, followed by a fidgeting Annie. She looked horrible, with her auburn waves scattered around her face and orange freckled becoming extremely stark against her paling skin.

"Hurry up, princess," Roxie, sneered," He's waiting for you."

I straightened up to face myself with an almost pitch black hallway completely devoid of any people, unlike the one I was previously in. I wrapped my skinny arms around myself, as I realized I was far from anyone safe. Colt was back at the pack house, being attacked my blood-thirsty wolves along with Blake and Dakota, and Charlotte was being hauled off somewhere with her newly crazed mate. If possible, even more tears came cascading down my red splotchy cheeks.

"Please let me go," I whispered.

I had officially become the definition of a wimp.

Annie and Roxie completely ignored me, and instead Roxie just seized me roughly by the arm, dragging me further down the creepy corridor. I didn't even try to struggle, knowing I was too weak to fight.

"You'll be perfect for him," Roxie said more to herself than me.

Who is this him everyone keeps talking about? The only him I wanted was Colt, who sadly wasn't here to save me this time.

Colt.

A sudden pang in my heart sent me almost tripping over my own feet. I wanted Colt so badly right now. I wish I had gone to him sooner, and maybe instead of getting taken hostage I would of been wrapped safely in his arms. I felt my body literally drop twenty degrees as once again I was pushed through a door, into an office. Roxie and Annie didn't enter, instead they slammed the door before taking of back down the passage. I was about to take the chance to escape, but a cold voice cut through the air,

"I wouldn't try that if I were you."

Nearly jumping out of my skin, I twisted back around to face a man, almost as big as Colt, sitting at a desk. He put his hands around his head as he tilted back, taking in my full appearance. I did to. This strange man might have been big as Colt but he certainly wasn't as handsome. His greasy brown hair looked like a bird had personally made a nest out of it and his green eyes oddly reminded my of vomit.

I backed myself hesitantly against the door while the man rose out of his chair, stalking over to me.

"Finally, Amity Rose, I have you in my possession," his deep voice rumbled in his chest.

How did this man know my name? I was one hundred percent positive that I have never met him?

"W-Who are you," I stuttered.

Come on, Amity. Don't show him any signs of fear because that's exactly what he's probably craving.

"I? Darling, I am Harley and your true mate," he answered, a sinister smiling spreading across his face.

True mate? What was this, Harley, talking about? He was obviously deranged since my one and only mate was Colt. I pressed myself harder into the door.

"My mate is Colt, the Alpha of the Night Walker pack," I stated confidently, my courage spiking dramatically.

I instantly regretted it when Harley's smile transformed into frown. Before I could blink twice, I was savagely being taken by the waist and thrown onto his desk. My head slammed into the dark oak wood, causing black dots to dance across my vision for a brief period.

"Listen to me, little girl. Don't you ever say his name in my presence because I promise there will be consequences," he said, a growl ripping through his throat.

My brown eyes widened into saucers at Harley's clear threat.

"I just don't understand," I said, my voice wavering at the end.

Fresh tears had started to pool into my eyes, but I kept them back. Harley softly cooed my like a mother wolf before softly taking me of his desk and into his lap as he sat back down. I withered for a nano second but stopped as I felt razor sharps claws graze my sides. I got the message.

Move an inch, and I will tear you apart.

I tensed as one of Harley's hands began to gingerly massage my thigh as the other began to twirl a lock of my blonde hair.

"I am so lucky to have such as pretty and innocent mate. I promise we will be very happy together, my love. After this war is done and Colt is long gone, we can live together happily. I can already imagine it: us living quietly away from all the commotion with our beautiful children. It will be perfect"

I was utterly disgusted by Harley's sick fantasy of us. I had just met this man ten minutes ago, and not to mention he kidnapped me, claiming I was his true mate. I gripped my stomach as bile began to rise in my throat but I pushed it down.

"I-I don't understand," I repeated.

"I'll tell you everything my, darling."
