Chapter 17

I manage to soothe the dog and keep his attention towards me while Tyler cut the rope.I couldn't believe this was actually happening.That we were actually freeing the dog.I gaze up at Tyler as he continues to cut.Hes just so amazing.Finally the knife breaks through to the end of the rope.Tyler stops kneeling and stands up.He has the cut rope in his hand.He holds it out for me to grab.I reach over and grab it.My throat is filled with amazement.I pet the dog and stand up."Well how 'bout we get going before the guys realize were still missing."I look up at him."Tyler th-thank you for everything.I know I wouldn't have done this without you."I take a step closer to him and wrap my arms around him,nuzzling my head into the crook of his neck.I take a deep breath and sigh.I let go and look up at him.I smile and nod my head."Lets go."I say heading toward the car.He reaches out and grabs my hands.I get butterflies in my stomach and blush.My heart starts beating rapidly.When we get to the truck Mark and Zach are standing beside it."Whoa what the fuck is that!!"Zach yells in surprisement at the dog.As i walk closer the headlights show the surprise looks on there faces.Its really dark out."Just get in the car and I'll explain on the way."Tyler says tiredly.Mark and Zach hop into the front and me and Tyler squeeze into the back after we've gotten the dog in the back.As Zach starts the truck Mark turns to us and says"Okay so what did Kristy sucker you into this time."He says clearly annoyed."Shuttup."Tyler says under his breath.I look up at him.Is he blushing?Is he embarrassed he actually helped me?"Its a poor stray okay?Just giving it a home."Zach butts into the last part and says"Okay whatever just as soon as we drop you off you better get it out of here.I don't need no stinkin dog ruinin my ride.""Your ride?Seriously dude?"Tyler burst out laughing.I chuckle and look out the window as the guys tease each other. ____________________________________________________________________________________
