Big brown eyes opened out of nowhere, Jacy Parrish tugged from the land of sleep. The warmth of northern California's August breeze flooded in through the windows of the fairly new Dane home.

Jacy rolled over in bed, cozy under a fluffy white comforter. She'd adjusted to the new room quickly, it decorated in indie minimalism with pastel blue walls. The brunette's long hair went in every direction possible as she begrudgingly sat up, sleep clinging to her face. She glanced to her left with a winced eye, the current time blinking on her clock.

The clairvoyant sniffed, her wolf senses tingling as the scent of French toast lingered up to her room. Jacy climbed out of bed, nearly tripping over Allison's bag on the floor as she slid on a pair of slippers. She yawned as she left her room, stretching high.

The homey two level sat closer to the Stilinski and McCall houses, everything about the new Dane residence light and welcoming. A fresh start.

"I told you it would wake the beast," Allison announced as Jacy wandered into the green tone kitchen.

Jacy swatted Allison, running a hand through her hair as she sat down on the bar stool next to the huntress. "Morning, Chris," she greeted with a sleepy smile.

"Morning, lazy," Argent replied with a smile.

Olivia worked beside him at the stove, the two making breakfast. Chris was the only one not in pjs, it clear that he'd not spent the night and instead came over at sunrise.

Jacy looked over to Allison, wiggling her eyebrows with a grin as Olivia and Chris laughed together while making toast.

Allison nudged Jacy, trying to keep in a giggle.

Everybody wanted the two together and both Allison and Jacy liked playing devil's advocate by pushing their parents together.

"So," Olivia looked over her shoulder to the girls, "what are your plans for the day, ladies? Wreak havoc on the world?"

"Only a little, and then some shopping," Jacy told her mom with a grin.

"Back to school clothes?" asked Chris as he grabbed a pint of blueberries from the fridge and set it on the counter. "Senior year, girls."

"Finally," Jacy drawled as she fought Chris for the berries. "I'm excited for all those senior sunday instagram posts."

"Yeah, you're welcome for all of those," Allison said before a sip of orange juice. "Those turned out damn good."

Jacy laughed, thankful that Allison had taken her senior photos only a week before. "You're not wrong," she admitted. Her stomach growled, immediately drawn to the French toast as Chris slid two pieces onto an empty plate. "Hell yes," she mumbled happily as she reached for the syrup.

"Jordan's coming for dinner tonight, J," Olivia told her daughter while pouring another glass of orange juice for Allison. "He's only working until 5, so he'll be over a little after then."

"Awesome," said Jacy with a smile. "J's been a little AWOL lately."

"He's just adjusting, that's all," offered Olivia without really believing it.

No one asked what Jordan was adjusting to, seeing as he'd been in Beacon longer than the Danes, but no one questioned it.

"Does it not bother anyone that he's arrested me before?" questioned Chris after a moment of thought.

Jacy shrugged, "I've been arrested twice."

"Just don't make it a third," Olivia told Jacy with a point of her spatula. "Both of you are 18, so now you're not protected by underage laws. I don't want your faces in the newspaper."
