Prompt #4

*Jupiter's POV*

When a mission goes awry, what do you do? Well you can either call and wait for help or you can beat the bastards and fight. I didn't do the second option.... Don't judge okay? I was surrounded by at least 15 soldiers, they didn't know I was there but I sure as hell knew.

My current state is wedged between a ledge and a box, there was at least a 100 foot drop down so there was no way I could make that. As I sat there, boxes were being shuffled and kicked around. "That mutant has to be here somewhere! Check all places!" a gruff voice yelled out.

I wedged myself further back and sighed. 'This may be the end.' I thought 'Or maybe I can take on these idiots. I still got a good fight left in me.' Quietly, I got up and snuck over to some other boxes. There were 5 soldiers there, I can definitely take them down.

Before anyone knew it, I dashed out from behind the boxes and started to fight. The first kick was delivered right into a man's gut. He fell to the ground and I kicked him in the face. Peter would be proud of that one. The other guards turned around and pointed their guns at me. Uh oh.

I'm glad my mutation is telekinesis, so I can stop these bullets. All the bullets and shells dropped to the ground and I turned around to run. Bad idea. One of the men grabbed my hair and threw me to the ground. Before I knew what was happening, I was dangling off the ledge with one hand. Well, shit.

The man was about to kick me off, when a silver blur went by. The sounds of grunts and bones shattering filled the air. Not very pleasant. I looked up and say Peter standing there. He extended his hand down to me" Take my hand, Jupiter! you're okay now." he said softly and pulled me up.

I rest my head against his chest and let out a big puff of air. "T-thanks Peter." I say shakily as we go back to the others who were sent on the mission. Peter smiled and said "Anything for my Jupiter." He pulled me into a big hug and kissed my cheek. "Now let's go finish this mission" I said. This fight was not over yet.
