I woke up to a loud ringing sound. I opened my eyes, turned over to where the noise was coming from, and picked up my phone.

"Hello?" I answered in my annoying morning voice.

"Hey. Can you pick me up for school today?" I heard Beth's cheery voice. That woke me up. I sat up in my bed, before answering her.

"Seriously Beth?" I said in a angry voice.

"What? I need a ride. And your my best friend."

"I'm not your best friend. You betrayed me. You humiliated me. You don't get it!" I hung up the phone quickly before she could respond.

My phone started to ring again. I swear I'm about to give her a piece of my mind.

"Leave me alone Beth!" I yelled into the phone.

"Whoa, whoa, hold up. I'm not Beth." I heard Ryder's voice coming through the speaker.

"Sorry. Beth called me, woke me up, asking for a ride to school." I breathed out.

"What did you tell her?"

"No of course." I laughed.

"Tell me what happened yesterday at school. Why you left there so quickly." His voice was concerned, and demanding.

"Detention. A whole freaking week. Thanks to her. It's all her fault."

"Don't fully blame her. You started in on it to. If Mason didn't stop you, you might have said something you'll regret. Maybe not then, or a week from now, but maybe in a month. You also have to think you were in the wrong for going back off on her-"

"Look! She's the one who humiliated me! She's the one who made everything look bad on me! For crying out loud she said that we freaking slepted together when we didn't! I see whose side you on."

I hung up the phone not wanting to talk to him any longer. Is this really how my day is going to go? I get woken up by my ex best friend, my boyfriend calls me, and says in wrong, when she clearly started it. What next? People at school start rumors about me, and post it all over social media so I'll be the talk of the school? Maybe I shouldn't say that, so it won't happen.

I got out of bed and walked downstairs. I'm going to try this, but I bet it won't work.

"Mom?" I questioned her. She's sitting on the couch watching the weather report.

"Yes?" She said not taking her eyes off the screen.

"Can I please stay home from school." That got her attention away. She looked at me like I have two heads.

"Why on earth do you want to stay home from school?"

"Stuff is going on there, and I don't want to be there right now. Just please mom."

"You know I can't let you do that. You have a perfect attendance. You can't drop it."

"I know this, but it's either loose my perfect attendance, or go to school and get made fun of."

"I'm sorry, but no."

I groaned before stomping my way back upstairs to my room. I knew this was going to happen, but I just had to ask.

I pulled out my high school sweatshirt, and a pair of grey sweatpants. I'm going to try to blend in as much as possible. I threw my hair up in a messy bun, and left my face untouched of makeup.

I put my black converses on, grabbed my phone and bag, then headed downstairs. I grabbed my keys off the key holder, then left without saying bye.

I put the key in to start my car, but it didn't crank. I tried a few more time, still nothing. You've got to be kidding me. Now my truck won't even start!

I got out, slammed the door closed, and began my walk to school. I'm going to miss my first class, I already know this. But I can't help it. My morning is starting off bad, so why not add to it.

I walked down the side of the road, with my bag on my back, in the cool morning air. This isn't what I wanted.

Twenty minutes later I finally made it to school. Of course no one was standing outside the building because school already started. I pulled my phone out. Okay. I still have thirty minutes in first.

I opened the door to the building, then walked to the office to get a late pass.

I made my way down the hall, to my classroom. I heard people talking, so I stopped at the corner then peaked around to see who it was.

It was some blonde girl with Mason. Did Mason find himself a girl? I stayed quiet so I could listen to their conversation.

"Please do it Mason. Talk to him. I know he misses me."

"No he doesn't Jayden, he's moved on."

"I don't think so."

I tuned around the corner again to get a better look at the blonde. Wen I could fully see her face, I knew who she was. She was the girl who walked in with Ryder that one day when i missed the field trip for first. The girl he had wrapped under his arm. So her names Jayden. Good to know.

"He has Casey now. So leave him alone." Okay so this is about me and Ryder.

"Ryder can do much better. He can do much better with me. Not her."

"Look here. Casey is an amazing girl alright! She is the type of person you want to be around, the one you'd always want to hang out with, the girl that can make you laugh. Casey is a unique girl, and a girl any guy will and can fall in love with. Ryder already has, and so hasn't-"

The bell rung, keeping him from finishing his sentence. Wait someone else likes me? Besides Ryder? Who? I can't ask Mason because then he would know I was stalking his conversation with Jayden.

I'll keep my attention up around him to see if he'll slip out who it is.

Maybe this day won't be so bad after all.

Mission, find out who else likes me.
