After the encounter with wade Peter just wanted to go home, once he was in the elevator on the way up to the lounge he began to wonder if he should tell his parents about the spider incident, he hadn't felt anything since last night and he didn't want to worry them even more then they already are, they're superheroes and they've got stuff to do, Peter didn't want to add to the list of worries, but then again what if he mutates into a giant radioactive spider and tries to kill everyone? Peter shook his head, that's impossible. His thoughts were interrupted by the ding of the elevator, signifying his arrival. He stepped out of the elevator and was greeted by the super solider hugging him "Peter where were you?' Steve asked, looking down at his son "i-I went for a walk, sorry I didn't think you'd be home yet" Peter replied, Steve just shook his head again before bringing him in for another hug "come on cap he's my son too" tony said walking over to hug Peter too, "I missed you kid, we all did" tony said releasing Peter from his hug "I-I missed you guys too" Peter smiled at them, but he could tell something was wrong, his smile faded as he looked around the room full of avengers. He could tell they were worried "what's wrong?" Peter asked, looking at both Steve and tony for an answer, they exchanged a glance before Steve sighed "Jarvis told us you were having a panic attack, we tried calling but...." Steve said, looking at Peter, speaking softly as if he'd break at any second. Peter looked around the room again, pity was evident on everyone's face, which made him angry "I'm fine" he tried to say calmly but it didn't come across like that tony gently took peters hand and brought him to a chair, Peter sat and watched everyone stare at him "what happened? Was it because we didn't answer-" Peter cut off Steve's questions "I... It wasn't because you guys left or didn't answer, I'm not a porcelain doll, I don't break that easily" Peter said maybe a little too loud, "I knew you were okay and Jarvis was telling me you guys were okay and I believed that it was okay...." Peter stopped talking, he needed to think of an excuse and fast. He didn't want to tell them about the spiders- no that's a bad idea. Then he'll have to admit to stealing someone's place and entering a secret area, and that's not what superheroes do, they don't steal they don't break rules. He's being raised by super heroes so it's time to act like one "my friend died" he said softly, it was the first thing he thought of, Peter knew that this would just escalate and this couldn't be good but he can't tell them about oscorp. "We're so sorry Peter" Natasha whispered, Peter looked down at his hands, he wasn't completely lying, when Peter was younger around seven or eight he did have a friend that died. He could go with this, this plan could work. Peter nodded and looked back at his new family, their expressions soft. No one was speaking. "Yeah.... I just was thinking about them and I just..." He shook his head. He's going to need to fake cry, which he was good at. He was over everything in the past so this didn't hurt anymore but he needed them to think he was hurting for it to work, Peter began to cry and once again arms we're around him. He held onto his new parents and let the sobs over take him again. "It's okay Peter, I know how it feels" Steve said into peters hair. Peter felt horrible, he's lying to his parents and his family. Again not what super heroes do but he needed to cover up the spiders. Peter didn't know why but he felt, deep down, that they could not find out about that. After a while tony spoke, "Peter do want to come to the lab with me and Bruce? I know you loved that, might help cheer you up" Peter looked at tony and nodded, silently they excited the room to head to the lab, Bruce was following behind them. Tony entered the passcode to the lab- 260200- peters birthday. Peter smiled to himself, he wondered how many passcodes in the tower were his birthday- which is only a few days away. If the passcode is his birthday then they wouldn't be able to forget. Tony saw peters smile and returned the look "excited to come to the lab?" He asked with a soft laugh, Peter nodded "well I love all this stuff, it's just so.... Awesome!" Peter said running over to a table, it had many different chemicals and equipment set up, Bruce smiled and walked over explaining what was going on, Peter listened to every word and began helping, soon everyone forgot about peters break down. 'Best way to spend my last day off' Peter thought as he added to Bruce's experiment
