"Yes, Miya. We would be stuck with you for a couple of years until we solve our little problem." Dad stated, looking at his hair in the mirror and smirking.
"Which is?" I said, still shock over the information that was given to me. Mom stood in front of me, looking into my eyes as it seems that she is staring into my soul, which felt very weird but I just shrugged it off.
"Remember when I told you about the nightmares that I use to have when I was.....living?" She said, pausing before the word living.
I nodded in response. She cleared her throat and said "Well, the Demon.....he put a curse on our first grandchild."
"What kind of curse?" I said, cutting her off.
"A bad curse." Dad said, walking over to me. "It didn't tell us what kind, but it told us to be prepared for the worst."
I started to panic. I don't want my first born baby to be curse for God knows what. I got up and paced the cherry-wooden floor while biting my nails. I do this when I'm on the verge of having an anxiety attack. Thanks a lot, Dad. -__-
"Miya, what did I tell you about biting your nails?" Mom said, putting a hand on her hip. I immediately said sorry and put my hand down and said on the couch that they had in their room.
"But how did you guys found out about it?" I said.
They both looked at each other with a worried look, then looked back at me. "Miya." Dad crooked, as if he was going to cry. I had a terrifying look plastered on my face, which made me grip the hem of my skirt, preparing for what they were going to tell me.
"The plane crash...we would of made it if.." Mom started crying, which made me cry. Not even knowing what she was talking about.
"The Demon killed us while we were in a coma, Miya." Dad said, wiping a tear from his cheek.
I gasped. This is unbelievable! I really want to find this Demon and tell him some pretty nasty words to it. I felt anger and sadness building up in me, so I just started crying, not feeling like being angry which is weird. Mom and Dad got up and sat next to me with Dad holding me and Mom rubbing my thigh.
"But how?" I crooked. "How did it came back? I thought it was gone for good."
"That's what we need you to help us on, Mimi." Mom said.
"But I don't know how." I truly said. "Why don't you ask God for help or an angel?"
"God gives his hardest battles to his strongest shoulders, baby girl." Dad said, kissing my forehead. We stayed quiet for a few minutes, until I heard a knock at the door. Before I even got up, they already disappeared. I got up and opened the door, to see Grandma standing there with her arms crossed like Dad does.
"Miya, why are you being like this towards your family?" She said in an aggressive tone.
I shrugged and said "Maybe because I don't like talking about my parents death."
She rolled her eyes and grabbed my arm. "Miya, we are just talking about the fun times we use to have with them."
"But I would break down and cry from hearing those stories." I said in all honesty.
"You'll be fine. They'll start leaving in about a few minutes so come on down and share your stories without crying and say your goodbyes." She said, grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the room.
I hesitated and try to pull back. "But Grandma, I don't wanna." I whined, sounding like a two year old.
"Do as she says." I heard my Mom whispered in my ear, making me jump. Grandma raised an eyebrow and looked at me, weirdly.
