Dancing in the dark

Thanksgiving

Today was thanksgiving and for once i was excited, Rachael was going to help me cook today, her and dad are currently at the shop while I finish up my first gown for the semester, this dress was my pride and joy, I had slaved hours over this and finally it was complete. It was a floor length deep red strapless gown that had beautiful red lace detail under the bust area that I had hand stitched non stop for 3 days.  It fell beautifully and sat perfectly on the maniqen.

I placed the doll in dads study and made sure the dress had no creases in it. Finally it was finished and I could relax.

Dad and Rach came home 10minutes later and we got started on the food. Rach kicked dad out of kitchen after an hour of him getting in the way, so he headed out by the pool and set up the bon fire for the night.

After 3 hours of cooking and preparation Kelly and Luke arrived "hey ladies it smells amazing in here" Luke picked around the kitchen looking through all the food "Luke its not far away dads outback beers are waiting". He headed out back and left us girls inside "Becca show me your dress I cant wait to see it" Kelly squealed bouncing around. I laughed as I led her and Rach into dads office. They both gasped as they saw the dress " Becca this dress is so beautiful I cant believe you made this" Rach muttered out, I smiled as Kelly hugged me tight "B this is gawjaz this should be worth thousands its beautiful".

"Thanks guys I have to admit I am very proud of this dress".

We headed back out to the kitchen just as the rest of the boys arrived. Rach let them all in as we all headed out the back with dad. The boys all got in the pool as us girls sat around the edge. Jake swam over to me "Hey B thanks again for having us over" I smiled as he jumped up and sat next to me "It wasn't a big deal, besides I missed you all you and Troy I havent seen in a while I forgot how nice it is". Jake smiled and squeezed my hand softly "Chase apologizes for not coming he has a new girlfriend so they went to her familys place for dinner".

"Thats good im really happy for him". Jake played with my bracelet as we watched the others play around "Jake do you think we can talk later tonight?" I murmured, I was suddenly nervous again. "Yeah B of course im all yours whenever your ready" and he kissed my cheek as he slid back into the pool. Dad and Rach beamed over at me and I laughed as i got up to go check on the food.

Dinner was amazing there was so much food. Everyone was having a great time laughing and just enjoying being together I couldn't remember the last time we had ever done this.

After dinner we all headed out the back and sat around the bon fire drinking, talking and just having fun.

By 11pm everyone was lets say, a little tipsy and slowly one by one left the house. I still hadn't talked to Jake yet and I noticed out of every one we both didnt drink tonight.

Dad and Rach said there good nights as they stumbled upstairs I laughed as they tried to help each other make it safely to there bedroom but both tripping and giggling as they went.

I collected the last of the dishes fkr the dishwasher and put it on as I talked to Jake.

"B we don't have to talk tonight if you want, I really enjoyed tonight and it was so great to spend time with you again". I smiled and nodded over at Jake " I no I liked it to, Rach was right it was what I needed and im so glad you came".

We made our way out to the beach house and I led Jake inside and sat on the bed. Jake lookee lost in what to do, I laughed amd patted the bed "I won't bite Jake" we both laugher as he sat down and I could tell I wasn't the only one nervous.

"Ok so I've ran this conversation through my head 100 times so im just gonna come out with it and yeah...." Jake smiled and held my hand, I squeezed his hand nervously as I took a breathe.

"Jake I miss you, I've been trying to keep busy with school and dad and rach, well anything really, because if im not busy im thinking of you 24/7, your in my dreams your in my nightmares I just cant keep my thoughts off you. I've missed you so much that it scared me so I pushed myself to stay away more and more and I..I..I just can't do it anymore. I don't expect you to forgive me for pushing you away but all I no is I can't do it anymore its killing me. I undrrstand if you just want to be friends but Jake I need you in my life....

I sat shaking trying to hold the tears back, I couldn't move and I wws terrified to look at him. Suddenly my head was lifted up and a huge grin was on Jakes face he picked me uo and sat me in his lap, I squealed and laughed as he placed both hands on my cheeks "Baby girl I told you I wasn't going anywhere until you told me to, im so madly in love with you and that's not going to change anytime soon so..... Rebecca White will you do the honour of being my girlfriend. ..again...

I laughed and nodded frantically as he pulled me closer until finally our lips touched. The moment our lips touched I felt like I could breathe again, like I had been awaking and I new that thid was what my heart wanted....and it felt so right.....
