Returning Home

We journey back to our first meeting place.

We part with hugs.

She hands me a blue and purple mermaid necklace.

She says in her lovely voice " You helped me get my brother back, I thank you for that!" "Here is a necklace which my mother gave me !" " "Now I want you to have it for remembrance of me!" "It will let you come to me and in mermaid form whenever you want, you just need to say I wish to see my friend once more!"

Happy I say " Thanks so much!", while clutching the necklace in my hand!

I hand it back to her and she lays it around my neck. I climb back in my boat just as the potion wears off and I turn back to plain old Mia Williams. Merissa pushes my boat back to shore. As I jump onto the sandy shore, I look back and she has disappeared.

I do hope to see her soon.
