I nod. "And I said it helps you loosen up."
In a matter of seconds, Aiden has me trapped as he places his arms beside my head, on the couch.
"You didn't say that." He mutters.
I lean back. "How do you know that?"
"Because, I pay attention to you and the things you say."
"Y-you do?"
He nods caressing my cheek, causing little sparks and tingles to spread. "You always have my attention."
He leans in, inches away from my face. I lean forward, licking my lips. His eyes follow the action as he licks his lips as well. My heart begins to pound loudly.
The door flies open. "Yoooo- oh. Sorry." The clearly drunk guy slurs.
I stand up, practically running out of the room.
I almost crash into someone but before I can apologize my eyes make contact with Bella."Hey, are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"You sure? You look a little flustered."
Justin walks up to us and beams when he sees me. "A-bear, you're back!"
I force a smile.
"Come on, let's go dance." He gestures to the dance floor.
"Uh yeah sure. Come on Bells, let's go."
We reach the dance floor, just as an arm wraps itself around my waist.
"May I have this dance?" Aiden whispers against me.
I answer by slowly placing my hand in his. Sparks practically shoot up my arm. He raises my hand, giving it a small kiss. His arms slowly wrap around my waist, while mine wrap around his neck. We dance song after song and finally decide to take a break. With heavy pants, we make our way to the kitchen, for water.
"Here for another beer?" Mark teases.
"Not tonight." I offer a smile.
His eyes flash with understanding. He nods handing me a water before I can ask for one. When more people come he walks away to attend them.
"You dance amazing." Aiden says breaking the silence.
"Thank you, you're not too bad yourself." I wink.
He laughs. My heart flutters every time I hear his laugh.
He stops as if thinking about something and hesitates as he asks, "Can I ask you something?"
"You just did."
He rolls his eyes. "Not counting that one."
I nod, reluctantly. "Sure."
"Why'd you stop drinking?"
I freeze.
"I thought you were drinking tonight?"
I relax, realizing I misinterpreted his words. I look around and make eye contact with Bella who's dancing with Justin.
'I'll be right back' I mouth to her.
She nods and gives me a thumbs up. I grab Aiden's hand and lead him outside. Closing the door, I sit down next to him.
"You were saying?"
"Yeah, I asked why you only drank one beer and stopped."
"I'm not an alcoholic."
"I know you aren't."
