I always wanted to go back
as a kid again,
While you hide
as I count one to ten.
As a kid,
We would cry over a spilled milk,
We'd be a supermodel
While we wear our bathrobe of silk.
As a kid,
We would cry of the forgotten red balloon,
And we wish them safe as they reach
the yellow sun or moon.
As a kid,
We would grab a brush and pretend it's
a mic,
And as a kid,
We only cry if we fall from bike.
As a kid,
We would wait til midnight for the tooth
fairy.
And as a kid,
We would wait for Santa to come down by the chimney.
As a kid,
We don't know which crayon to choose,
And as a kid,
We don't care about our clothes or shoes.
Win battles with guns,
and swords, and bloods,
And imagine being a soldier
crawling on dirty muds.
I always wanted to go back
as a kid again,
While you hide
as I count one to ten.
