Catch Me As I Fall

Chapter 1

"Run! Run Kyungsoo! Run as fast as you can and get away from here!" 

Gun shots rang through the air as masked men stormed into the house. They ran inside smashing the door into smithereens and started searching for something.

Us, he realized. 

He stared, terrified about what was about to occur. 

Kyungsoo clutched his trembling mother tightly in his arms, her gun wound oozing more and more blood as seconds passed. He needed to do something about the wound. He suddenly ripped off a section of his shirt and pressed it against her wound to stop the blood  flow. That had seemed to work, but Kyungsoo still needed to do something about the men inside the house.

Why were they here? What for and why? 

His eomma and Kyungsoo were hiding in the kitchen pantry behind the boxes of canned goods, when they suddenly hear a loud shout near the door. They trembled and tried to calm their breathing so the men didn't hear.

"Kyungsoo," whispered his eomma.

"Yes?" he replied back while looking between the cracks of their pantry door.

"Go! Run and escape! I'm going to try and divert their attention away from you while you run."

He looked down at his mother with worry etched onto his face. 

He can't do it! He just can't! He can't just run away, but Kyungsoo knew he had too, he can bring back reinforcements to help save his eomma. 

Kyungsoo hesitantly nodded back at her after careful thinking, and slowly cracked open the door, but not before giving her one last hug and a " I'll come back for you."

 He looked around cautiously to make sure the coast was clear and then he ran. Kyungsoo ran and he ran and he didn't look back. Not even when he heard an ear-splitting scream echo throughout the forest.

Kyungsoo woke up with a start with sweat trickling down his neck. It was just a memory. 

"Just a memory" Kyungsoo reminded himself. 

He slowly climbed out of bed and looked up through the window at the brilliant full moon. It's been nine years since her death.

"I miss you eomma."

I'm finally done! This took a while. I've had an idea in my mind for quite some time but I was scared to write it. I finally did! Thank you everyone for reading it! Annyeong! I love you all ^~^
