This task is as follows:
Prompt: Legolas and a few friends (ideally the twins, but if you don't know who the twin sons of Elrond are, then just use an OC or two) are on a camping trip together with Glorfindel as their chaperone. What do you think would happen? I want each of you to think about this. The twins would be in their later teenage years (15 or 16) and Legolas (with the age differences) would probably be around the human equivalent of a 14 or 15 year old. You must amuse me and the judges by telling us a story about this camping trip. Just go for it, make it funny. And more than one thing can happen.
However, there are a few things I want to see. This will be a two "chapter" contest. The first chapter will be purely amusing, and feel free to do whatever you want with it. However, the second chapter will be more specific. Here are the requirements:
The chapters must flow like a proper mini story:
There must be a lake involved, mentioned or referenced to:
An element of danger: (said element of danger doesn't have to drive the story)
Word count for each chapter must be 2000-3000 words. Whatever it takes to make it flow, depending on how much depth you put into the chapters.
I will be away for the next week, and so both chapters are due on June 5th. If that is not enough time, just tell me you need more. And remember, you can make suggestions for prompts. I might not do exactly what your idea is, but I will take inspiration.
