I look at the floor. "Yeah, that is. Well this conversation has been fun, we started the conversation with life questions, and now we're talking about everyone being orphans. That's always one way to change a subject."

He cracks a little chuckle but then feels guilty about it. But really he just laughed because of how plain I was being. "Right well... anything else you want to interview me about, Esther?"

I think for a moment. "Umm... oh, I know. How long were you frozen in the ice?"

"Sixty-six years, ma'am," he answers formally, his eyes hinting a smile.

My eyes widen in shock. "Oh my... that's... Wow. That long? Man, I can't even imagine what you went through when you woke up."

"Yeah I was a bit stiff for a while but I pulled through," he smirks. "I think the shock of actually waking up seventy years later was what really affected me..." he frowns.

I nod. "I'm sure it did. I mean, everything you knew was gone. It would shock anyone."

"Well I thought everything was already gone for me when I went under," he looks upwards. "To find out that it wasn't was a bit of a blessing at a second chance I guess..."

I look at him. "Huh, second chances. Life is full of them. I would know."

"Yeah... and then to come back and find the world in this state... It's almost like it was the fate of humanity to be destroyed... Or at least that's how some would see it. I can't believe what's on those monitors every time I look."

I frown and nod. "Yeah, I can't either, but that's why we are here. So that we can put an end to all of those things that we see on those screens."

"I know... It's just that I started this fight, winning the war for America... now we're fighting for the world... At least we're getting troops overseas to help surrounding countries east..." he sighs in thought.

This piques my interest. "Wait, we're sending troops over?"

 "Wait, we're sending troops over?"

He nods. "Yeah after getting things settled here the United States Military is shipping soldiers over to the U.K. to aid in the wars over there that are apparently ten times worse than they are here."

My eyes widen and a large smile spreads across my face. That's it! This is exactly what we need. "When are they being shipped out?"

"'When'? I would imagine soon. Tomorrow, the next day... Why?" he frowns with curiosity at me.

I try to hide my smile a bit. "Oh, it's nothing. I'm just happy that those people are going to get the help that they need," I lie.

He squints a little, not buying it.
