(NOT JUST A LOKI STORY - this story is about many marvel characters with Esther Mason and Loki Laufeyson as the main characters - and also includes a Steve Rogers romance side story with... well you'll have to see :))))

Once upon a time, there was...
I raise a brow at him and place my hands on my hips. "It most certainly is not. You don't put on a fake smile for just nothing. Spill, now."
He stops when I stand before him and face him. His eyes dance around in mine and on my features, as if taking a mental image as he hesitates... It's a long quiet moment until he finally looks down, his brows furrowed... "Get to work, Esther..." he says quietly. "No more questions..." he looks up me. "Don't follow me..." He turns and leaves me there.

I frown and go to call out after him, but stay silent. He clearly wants to be alone right now, so I'll just give him space. Besides, I have a plan to make.
I turn and walk back into the large room. The others should be here soon to train. So I grab all the paper I can and markers and head to my room. I put the things down on the ground and start calculating. I have a map of the world with me and I tape it up to the wall before marking our path from New York, to London. I draw an arrow and then an "X" where London is. I begin to chart out possible ways of travel under that. I then start to list possible vehicles and people who would be willing to help us.
I work on the ground as I write info; everything that I know, on various pieces of paper. And I stick them up around the map in the way I can calculate best.

I begin to think as my eyes dart around on my diagram.
I know that we can't take anyone with us. Inevitably I have just accepted the fact that Loki and I are going to be alone in this. Even if I could convince them again I would have to redo it every time we woke up and that wouldn't work.
I stand there with my pen tapping against my thigh in thought.
Where to go with this?
To begin, I start marking off things after I stand there thinking for a while, eliminating the impossible circumstances.
