Once upon a time, there was...
"Well I'm certainly glad you're happy," he says with slight attitude.
My brows furrow slightly. "Are you not happy?"
"Yes I'm happy that we saved your group of mortals... but I don't suppose you know this isn't over for the two of us."
"Of course I know. I'm just happy that we know what to do for the first part of it. Now we can move onto the next part."
"And the next part is we have to find a way off that battlefield. And you need to figure out a way to get us across the ocean. I'll do what I can as well..."

I nod. "Right. I'll come up with something eventually."
He nods a little, his eyes downcast. Something is on his mind.
I cock my head to the side and ask, "What's going on in that pretty head of yours?"
Slowly a little and subtle smile appears on his thin lips at what I said and he looks up to hide something in his eyes when he says, "Nothing," rather plainly with a fake smile as he places a kiss on my cheek before walking past me, his smile disappearing as he makes his way from the room.
I frown and start to walk after him. "Now just hang on a minute. That was not nothing. Something's bothering you, what is it?"
