Once upon a time, there was...
I glare at him and then I grasp one of the creature's tentacles. Ice slowly begins to creep up its body and then the speed at which it travels increases until it is frozen completely. I teleport out from underneath it, ready to take on the other one.
I am thrown off my feet when the ground tears apart from beneath me. I do a roll on the ground and spring up to see it flying up from the dirt, its limbs flinging around and I block one with a forcefield but the other hits me to my side.
"You have a bloody canon on your back! Use it!" Loki says with frustration, referring to the assault rifle I have.
I reach and grab it, aiming it at one of the creatures. As it gets closer, I pull the trigger and let loose a few of the bullets. I watch as they hit their target.

The demon cries out and roars slinging its limbs towards me like whips of flesh. As I let it east lead, another leaps over from my right and misses me by a hair. It kicks up dirt with its tentacles and strikes one of them out towards me. As I raise my gun to fire it snaps me in the leg and I stumble back.
"Why do you wait so long?" Loki says with irritation as I adjust and start shooting. "By the time you fire the thing it would have already killed you," he continues.
I frown and call out, "Sorry!" as I watch the bullets hit the creature. Black blood comes spurting out of the wounds, and it screeches.
"Stop talking," he says as the limbs of another come out of nowhere and I turn my attention to fire in its direction as I back up.
"On your left," Loki says sternly.
I am hit hard from what he was warning me about and my body hits the ground. My side stings.
"Would you keep your blasted eyes open?" he scowls with disappointment. "You're worse than I thought."
I frown and get up from the ground. I aim my gun at the creature and let loose more bullets. "You're supposed to be helping me, not telling me how bad I am!"
I can almost hear his eyes roll as I continue to fight.
I turn when I hear one leap and I do a roll to my right. I face two of them and quickly I start firing without hesitation. The first is shot back but the other is screaming and roaring at me. It moves like an insect with tremendous speed to my left, circling around as I panic and continue to let loose a string of bullets in attempt to follow the beast. But I watch Loki raise his arm bracer as a couple of my bullets hit his armed torso and wrist guard. It doesn't pierce his armor of course and he lifts his brows in offense at me.
I smirk and shout an innocent, "Sorry," out to him. I shoot at another creature that runs towards me. It roars loudly as the bullets penetrate its flesh and I duck out of the way as one of its limbs go to whip me. The creature runs past me and then jerks around to lunge at me, but I teleport behind it. It stops and I shoot it before it has the chance to turn around. It screeches and then falls to the ground.
