About half an hour later, the car came to a halt in front of a gateway. Dillon pressed a button and the big gate opened. I couldn't help but gape as I stared at the house. It was HUGE!

We got out of the car, Dillon handed the key to an elder man. We both walked towards the door with me trailing behind him. When Mrs. Christian said that he lives on his own in a big house, I didn't expect the house to be that big.

We walked through the big oak door and nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to witness.

"Oh my shnitz!" I muttered. Everything in this house is elegant. So he is rich after all. But then why marry me? Why not marry some snobby rich girl? Nothing makes sense to me.

Suddenly, I bumped straight into a wall causing me to fall on my butt. I was about to curse when I looked up. It wasn't a wall that I had bump into.It was him.

Dillon was staring at me with a smug grin on his handsome face, showing off his dimples. Wait! Did I just called him handsome? Oh my god! What's wrong with me? He is not handsome. He's ugly! Yea, keep telling that lie to yourself. I tried to cover my embarassment by glaring at him. He chuckled, which then turned to outright laughing.

I scowled. What's so funny? Is this guy crazy? Oh my god! That's why he's not married to any girl. This guy is crazy! I'm married to a crazy guy.

"Gosh relax, I'm not crazy." he said.Wait, did I said it out loud?

"Yeah you did. Come on, Gerald will bring your suitcase upstairs." he said before walking upstairs. I followed behind him while keeping a distance away from him.

We stopped in front of a door. He turned the knob and the door swung open. The room was big and empty, except for a few things such as a walk in closet, a king sized bed and a dressing table.

After he showed me my room, he left. I closed the doors and went to the bathroom to take a bath. The bathroom was big. After I finished taking a shower, I went back into my room to see that my suitase was already there.

I wore a grey sweatshirt and a pair of black khaki. I lied on the bed and soon fell asleep. Maybe my life wont really be bad after all.

Dillon's POV

I couldn't help but smile when I thought of him. His beautiful emerald green eyes, his rosy pink luscious lips. They seemed so soft. It's been a long time since I last time smiled, and it felt good.

My life was ruined when she left me. I thought that maybe she would come back to me, tell me that she made a big mistake and she wants me back. She's probably with someone else now.I dont think she even remembers me.

He had successfully made me forget about her. All I could focus on was him. The way he seemed always deep in thought. The way his left eye would slightly twitch when he's annoyed. It was, cute.

I sighed as I lied on the bed, Krystal sleeping soundly next to my bed in her cradle. She reminds me of her. She left Krystal with me, saying that she doesn't need us ruin her perfect life. She didn't even come to visit Krystal. Part of me still has feelings for her.

I fell asleep thinking of Darren. Maybe, he'll be the one to change my life. I could start fresh, with him.

---------------

I woke up to the sound of Krystal's heart wrenching cries. I opened my eyes and looked at my alarm clock. 2 am. I sighed and got out of bed, and walked towards Krystal's cradle.

She was crying. I'm not sure why. Curse me and my bad parental skills. I dont know how to deal with this kind of situation. I tried to console her but ended up making it worst as her cries turned to wails.

Then there was a knock on the door. I ran towards the door and opened it, revealing a zombie-looking Darren. He literally looks like a zombie with his pale skin and dark circle.

"What is that noise?" he asked me while peering into my dark room. And I thought he was supposed to be the smart one. In a fluent movement, he got past me and walk towards Krystal's cradle.

"Oh my god!" he shrieked. I swear he's like a girl! He looked at me, his sleepy eyes now wide and his mouth was gapping. Before I could even explain anything, he fainted. Okay, he's worst than a girl.

---------------

After a few minute, Darren finally woke up. He stared at me for so long before staring at the small girl that is still crying in my arms. He hold out both his hands. I'm not sure for what though.

"Ugh, give me the girl." he said exasperatedly. I gave Krystal to him carefully. He rubbed Krystal back soothingly. He held Krystal with so much care, that Krystal's crying finally stopped.

"You held her the wrong way." he said, his voice just above a whisper.

"What?" I asked, not quite understanding it. Blame my father for his not-so-smart genes and my mother for dropping me when I was a kid, causing me to lose a lot of brain cells. My life is sad.

"You weren't supposed to hold her like that. It's uncomfortable for her." he explained to me.

"And how exactly did you know all this Einstein?" I mocked him. He glared at me. Wow, he's got a hell of a glare.

"I used to babysit my cousins daughter when I was 11 years-old, you stinkbrain." he grumbled. Stinkbrain? The hell is that? Whatever, who cares. I'll just continue my sleep.

"Where are you going?" he asked me as I got up and walked towards my bed.

"Sleeping. Isn't that obvious enough for you?" I asked him. He mumbled some incoherent words before walking towards Krystal's cradle before laying her carefully. Then he made his way to the door but I stopped him.

"Hey, can you sleep here? You know, just in case Krystal starts to cry again." That actually wasn't the real reason. Krystal usually sleep throught the night without problem. I just wanted him near. How selfish of me.
