Lost in Love, Found in Music

I walk into Lost and Found and I find myself all alone. It was 9 am and that's when kids start coming in to the studio to get ready for the day. I walk into the Rose room and grab a guitar and start playing some of the songs I wrote.

Lost and Found Music studios is a place where teens get to learn how to perform on stage, how to write music, and how to express their feelings in music. We sometimes do year projects and we sometimes do mini events like Open stage and the singing circle. Auditions are held every year in January and the studio's halls is echoing with music from the speakers.

As 9:30 comes almost everyone is at Lost and Found. Yesterday Mr. T had a big announcement for us, I think it's a new year project.

As I sit playing the guitar I see Theo and the band come in. "Hey Luke!" I say hi to the guys and everyone comes into the Rose room. The band moves over to the piano while Mr. T walks on the stage. Everyone is in the Rose room ready to hear what Mr. T has to say.

"Alright musicians, who's ready for the new year?" Everyone cheers. Mr. T gestures his hands down to calm all of our excitement. "I have decided the new year project, if you don't know what that is, the New Year Project is a project you work on through out the year and at the end of the year you show case it. So this year's project," Mr. T pauses. You can feel the anticipation in the room and the air is still. The room was silent and everyone was waiting. Mr. T smiled and finally said," making your first album."

The rooms was filled with excitement, the guys and I exchanged looks and thought that this was going to be awesome. Wow, our own Album? I seriously can't believe we're going to have our own album, or we're going to make it. Mr. T started to shout to get all of our attention back on him. "But there are some requirements, in this album you need at least five collaborations, you need thirteen songs and two of the songs can be a previous original, but has to be recorded in a different style." This year's project was going to be hard, but it's challenging and I like a good challenge.

"And another thing, Open Stage is on Saturday at five till ten o'clock. Make sure to sign up in the Java Junction," Mr. T said," that is all." Mr. T walked out of the rose room and all of us were going insane. I looked around and saw everybody smiling and just talking about different ideas. I saw Leia come up to me with a huge smile. "Can you believe it? We're actually making an album!" She squealed. "I know! I'm so excited, I'm just thinking of different ideas and-"

"Me too!" She squeals again. Leia finds Rachel and I find Maggie talking to Anabelle, but they don't seem to excited. They both walk out of the Rose room. "Hey Luke," I hear John say. "We should go write some more songs." I nodded. "Let's meet at the lounge in a few." I say walking out of the rose room. "WAIT! Where are you going?" he asked.

"I need to talk to Maggie." Me being me, I'm nosey so I really wanna find out why Anabelle and Maggie are bumbed, because I want to help. I walk all around Lost and Found to look for the two. The only person I found was Maggie sitting in the Java Junction with Leia and Eva. I walk in and see Leia's bright smile. I smile back and look at Maggie who was also smiling as well. "Hey Luke," Leia said. "Hey, umm, Maggie can I talk to you really quick."

She follows me out of the Java Junction, and into the control room. "Hey, I saw you and Anabelle talking a while ago, and I just wanted to know if there was anything wrong." She nodded no. "Are you sure?" I asked again and she nodded yes. "Yeah, we're okay. It's just that Anabelle is nervous for this year's project."

"How come?" I ask.

"Because Anabelle thinks she's not a very good songwriter," Maggie replied.

"What did you tell her?"

"I told her that I'd help her and I basically helped her calm down," she chuckles. I smiled and nodded. "Thanks Maggie," I say. I walk out of the control room and back to the Rose room to see the band talking to Clara and Issac. This year's project is going to be exciting and filled with new opportunities.
