Christian's POV

'What just happened? ' I think as Katherine walks out the door with her middle finger in the air. What happened to the sweet girl that walked into my door. The one that listened to me and obeyed me. She's so confident now and I partly like it. What angers me is the disrespect. Nobody talks to me like that. Only my parents and Nicole. But I have to say, I have always wanted a wife who would talk back. I know I'm a very confusing man. I start the briefing and it goes smoothly. After the briefing everyone goes to their post and those with the day off go to their house. Only the men that want to stay at the house can stay while those who have families can live in their homes. Ellie and Sophia come with me to the lounge and ask for money for one of their many shopping sprees. That's what I want Katherine to do, ask for my money not to go work
'Why are you even thinking about her? ' my subconscious asks
'I honestly don't know '
Ellie and Sophia stop my inner conversation by asking for the money with my little angels at school they have nothing to do. I give them the money and they walk upstairs to fetch their bags. A few minutes later they come back down and walk out the door. I honestly love my wives they are my whole life. I met Sophia in high school. I was the bad boy and she was the nerd. Cliche I know. But it wasn't that easy, people had a problem with our relationship as she was black and I was white. Our parents forced us to separate but our love was so strong that we couldn't be kept apart. Our parents couldn't do anything about it so they approved We got married a few years after college. A few months into our marriage we had a few problems and she left for a couple of weeks and I went to Italy on a business trip. There I met Ellie We had a slight affair and I left. I couldn't get her off my mind and then Sophia came back and we made up. A few weeks later I was leaving a meeting and I saw Ellie. We hit it off again and I instantly fell in love. And then I was in love with two women. I couldn't pick one so I had to tell both of them the truth. Sophia wasnt happy but for some odd reason which I still can't figure out even today, she allowed me to date Ellie. But I couldn't get away with wanting to marry Ellie. Sophia was outraged but said yes when she found out that she was pregnant with our first child. She didn't want our child to have a broken family so she stayed with me. Ellie was fine with all of it. After Ellie and I got married, she and Sophia fought for a while but became friends when they saw there was no use for they fighting as I loved them both. They were not happy with me taking a third wife. But after I explained everything about my mom they were okay.
"Chris"
"What! " I turn to find Nick
"I have been talking to you and it seemed like you zoned out "
"I didn't! "
"Yes you did. You had this face that looked like you were far away "
"I don't have that face"
"Yes you do. I have known you all my life. I know that face"
"Okay" Nick and I have been friends since high school. He was the jock while I was the bad boy but for some odd reason we were inseparable. When I joined the mafia he was right there with me and we have been like that since then. I trust Nick with my whole life. He is like a brother
"There you go again Chris. You zoned out "
"Yeah yeah whatever. Let's go to my office we need to discuss a few things about the company" I own Black Inc. It's just a cover up for the mafia business but the company is doing really well. I would have been suspicious if I just became rich without any work. Even though my family is rich but I had to have a cover up.. We walk into my office and get some work done. After that Nick says out of the blue
"I feel so sorry for you"
"Why? " I ask confused
"Kat. You don't know what you have gotten yourself into " he says with a small chuckle
"What do you mean? "
"She is a very confident woman and she won't take shit from you like she did before"
"What changed? She was so pathetic and listened time everything I said"
"You broke her Chris. She was 'pathetic' around you but around other people she was her confident self. I think she respected you because you are her husband but with the way you treated her I just think she had enough. You. Broke. Her "
"But...."
"No buts Chris. I just want you to know that she is going to be a handful."
"Katherine should show me respect. I am after all her husband "
"How can she, when you can't even show her some respect?" he gets defensive
"Why are you so fond of her? "
"She a friend Nick. I wouldn't do that to you. She is like a sister to me"
"Sure"
"I have to get going. I have things to do" he stands up and leaves. Leaving me with my thoughts about the little vixen that is my wife. This is just great.
I spend my whole day in the office and in meetings. I go visit my mom then get home at about 7pm. I find out Katherine is still not back. I have dinner then go read my little princesses a bed time story. It's. 10pm everyone is asleep and Katherine is not back yet. I have an awesome idea while in pacing around the lounge. I gave Katherine access to the gate but not the house. I will lock the door and when she comes back she will have to apologize for this morning and beg a bit. I lock the door and wait for her to come back. As I doze off I hear a car door closing and someone walking up to the door. It must be her. Time for the begging. She tries opening the door and does this a few times when she says'Fuck it' and goes to her car maybe to call me. I hear a car door closing and it drives off. Wait, she should be begging. I start to get a bit worried
'You care about her'
'No. I don't ' I give up and go to Sophia's room. Strip down and go to sleep.

The next morning I wake up, freshen up, get dressed and go downstairs. I find everyone there eating. My eyes search for a certain blonde but I don't see her. Shes not back yet. I sit down and face Nick
"Where is Katherine? "
"I don't know"
"Why do you care anyway? " Sophia asks
"Nothing. Have you checked? " I ask Nick again
"Yes I was going to call her for breakfast but she wasn't there looked like she never came back. Im starting to get worried "
"Dont worry she is old enough to take care of herself " He nods and we start eating. After breakfast I get some work done in my office. There's not much to do so I call Nick and give him the day off. I also decide to have a break. A mafia boss needs rest. I go downstairs to the lounge and find Sophia and Ellie on the sofa reading magazines and Nick flipping through channels on the TV. I give my beautiful wives kisses and I sit down next to Nick. We decide to play video games. We play for a few hours and as I'm about to win another game I hear the door open and Katherine walks in wearing a black pencil skirt and a white vest.
'When did she change? '
"Kat. You are back" Nick says with a smile on his face
"Hy Nick. Hello everyone " I say a small hello while Sophia and Ellie just ignore her
"Tough day? "Nick asks
"You don't even want to know " she replies in a tired voice. Her phone starts ringing and she picks up
"Hy Aaron " Who's Aaron. Katherine is mine. I may not want her but she is my wife. Mine!
"Yeah I think I left them there" she starts searching through her bag. She finally gives up
"I will fetch them later. Thanks for letting me sleep there. My old apartment was to far. " She slept at a guy's house!
"I still can't believe you have my clothes and necessitates there " Her things are at this 'Aaron's' house!
"I don't visit that often! " she says with a laugh
"Sure we are still on for today. Is everyone coming? "
"Okay then can I bring someone with me?" she listens to his answer then looks at Nick and I
"Do you have the day off? "
"Yes" I answer quickly. She finally realises that I'm her husband and that I should meet her friends.
"Okay sure. I'll see you in a few. I need to change. We are so gonna beat your sorry asses "
"Okay bye " she end the call then looks at us
"Nick wanna go paintballing? " she asks him. What Nick! No she was supposed to take me
'What do you expect? She hates your guts'
'True' I just sit quietly
"Sure I'd like to come" he answers
"Good. Okay go and get ready meet me here in twenty minutes " They both stand up and leave
"Are you really allowing that? " Sophia asks
"What? "
"Her leaving like that "
"I don't care about what she does"
"Okay" she goes back to her reading. Twenty minutes later Nick comes downstairs wearing grey jeans, a white shirt and black Toms. A little while later Katherine comes down wearing a white crop top, black shorts, a grey shirt and white Converse(Picture above). She is not wearing that
"You are not wearing that " I say
"And what's stopping me dear hubby? " her question silences me
"I thought so. Come Nick lets go "
She grabs Nick and they walk out
"Katherine you come back here!" she puts her middle finger in the air without looking at me as she walks out. That is going to become an irritating habit
"That is one disrespectful bitch" Ellie says
"I know right" Sophia says as they stand up and walk out of the lounge.
I find things to entertain me the whole day and around six hours later Katherine and Nick walk in laughing and covered in paint
"What happened to the both of you? "
"Well Chris your dear wife here decided to take me painting after paintballing with her friends and let's just say we got more paint on ourselves than on the boards.
"Lets go freshen up "
"Dinner is in an hour " I say
"Okay" she replies then they walk off.
Dinner is quite silent and I don't know why. I push the thought aside and tuck my princesses in and go to sleep with Ellie. I sleep with thoughts of that blonde and Ellie in my arms

Hy misfits
So there are a couple of things I want to clear up
1. I ,being the divvy that I am, just realised my mistake with a character's name. Sophia was known as Sofia at the beginning of the book but suddenly changed. I'm so sorry I think Sofia got changed to Sophia don't ask how. But being the lazy ass that I am I won't change back to Sofia but I will change Sofia to Sophia in the beginning of the book. Makes sense? I hope it does
2. I just wanted to let you know that the writing in italics is usually the character talking to their subconscious. And it's usually the subconscious first then the character answering
3. Im sorry for the late update I'm quite busy between school and trying to finish the David Balacci series and there's alot
4. There will be really slow updates as I'm about to write my mid-year exams.
