Sitting in Mom's suite I normally feel some ease. I normally love it. I normally always feel like a normal teenage girl watching movies with her normal mom. But tonight wasn't one of those kind of nights.

I felt anything but normal sitting in my mom's suite as she put in the movie. I felt anything but normal as my mom went and got the popcorn that she purposely burnt for me out of the microwave and put in another bag for herself. I felt anything but normal as mom asked me about classes as if she couldn't simply go to Grandma and ask her how I'm doing in my classes. I just didn't feel that normal, non-spy person kind of feeling that night.

Mom talked on about classes. She talked on about Dad being Dad the day before. She acted like she normally did every other Saturday night. She talked about Morgan asking Patty to "homecoming" (even though she is a couple of weeks late on that). It looked normal but it wasn't to me. It could have been the fact that I had camera on the necklace I was wearing so Kat and Lexi could see and hear everything going on that night from the safe distance of our room. It could have been the gut feeling that something was going to happen just by looking at Mom dead in the eyes. It could have been the way mom was acting exceptionally normal that night. Heck it could have been the fact Lexi and Kat practically begged me to wear the necklace camera for them to find out why we haven't had a single class with any of the Blackthorn boys the past two and a half weeks. Part of me knew that Lexi was waiting impatiently for me to ask about it for them to know and that Kat was getting annoyed with Lexi's pacing as she waited impatiently. I guess that's why I cleared my throat after Mom started to watch the never ending previews to our movie.

"Hey, Mom? Why haven't we had any class with the Blackthorn boys these past weeks?" I asked looking at her. Mom shifted and sat up a little straighter.

"Your father thought it would be best if the two schools had a few weeks away from each other so you guys can focus on separate topics." Mom said then slouched back into a more comfortable position. "Also your father really doesn't like the way Alex kept looking at you." A smirk appeared on her lips as she focused her attention to the TV. "Speaking of, you better get back to your friends before they find anything else by giving you a camera that could easily be recognized by another spy."

"But the movie?" I said nodding my head towards the screen.

"Will still be here next time. Now do you want to stay in your pjs or do you want to go back to Kat and Lexi and change?" Mom said practically pushing me out of the suite. I rolled my eyes, took off the necklace, and walked back to my room where my friends waited for me.
