Logan's POV

I sat in Music class, trying to pass the time by listening to the teacher ramble on and on about some project. As I looked up to the wall and checked the clock, I felt my heart sink as it mocked me, ticking by as slow as it possibly could. My mind wondered around the class, distracting me from Miss. Longfields lecture. I was eyeing a pretty girl sat at the other side of the class. She had medium length blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. She was wearing a light pink tank top, with blue, denim, high waisted shorts. She was listening contently to what the old hag at the front of the class was talking about. I quite happily sat there for god knows how long before my gaze was interrupted by half of the class getting out of their seats and switching places.

I turned to face my best friend, Josh on the desk next to me, “What’s going on?” I asked him.

“Weren’t you listening to a word she was saying?” He retorted.

“Um, no not really. Well? Aren’t you gonna tell me what’s going on?”

“Were doing another project!”

I sighed “Not another! We just finished one!! And it wasn’t the most delightful experience on my part!”

In the last project we did, we got paired together and was assigned to write a musical piece and perform it to the class. I got partnered with a girl in our class who well, to put it quite frankly doesn’t have a sense of smell!! She sinks… really bad, and I couldn’t have her ruining my reputation, could I? So I did what any rich, handsome, popular Senior would do and I totally bunked off Music lessons during that semester. Resulting in me getting an F-!!

I snapped out of my thoughts when a pretty brunette sat down next to me. She was very simple, but still pretty. She sported a sky blue crop-top and a black skater skirt. She wore a pair of light blue Converse high tops aswell. Her eyes were a very bright shade of green and she had two little dints in her cheeks.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Oh, Logan, you never were really one to listen in class were you?” She said, full of sarcasm.

“How do you know my name?”

“Because…” She started glaring at me with her gorgeous eyes, wait, did I just refer to her eyes as gorgeous. No!! “We’ve been in the same class for 3 years now.”

“Oh…”

“Finley, by the way.” She said, hardly sounding enthusiastic.

“You don’t sound too excited?!” I said

“Oh yeah, that’s because I’m not….”

I stared at her blankly. “What do you mean? Most girls would sell their souls to work with me on a school project!!”

“Yes, well I’m not most girls!!” She spat.

“Your crazy…” I muttered

“Just to let you know, not everyone thinks you’re a God. Actually, most people hate your guts. They just don’t say anything because they are too scared, well, I’m not. I’m also not in love with you either so don’t go thinking you can sweet talk me and get me to do all the work!! Your actually going to do some work this semester, because you wouldn’t want another F would you? I don’t know? You might get an E this time.” She smirked.

Her sudden change of attitude left me speechless. She was actually kind of…. Hot!! No, how could I even think that? I hate this girl, Finley or whatever!!

I laughed “You seem pretty confident for someone that’s a no-body”

“Oh how I wish I could see things from your point of view Logan, shame I can’t stick my head that far up my ass!!”

A deafening bell rang through the class room.

“Later Jack Ass!!” She said rolling her eyes and leaving me alone.
