Accept who you are

I don't know how

But you got me to talk

Telling my secrets

Had always been so hard

With you it seemed so easy

Like it was meant to be

Just you and me

With a strange future

Laughing, really laughing

Is somewhat foreign to me

It was always forced

A complete cover

I hid away from everyone

They never knew

What it was like

To be alone

I felt lost and alone

Before you came

Saying sweet words

So full of truth

My future looks bright

With or without you

It'll be better

Because of you

With encouraging words

You brought me back

I had been lost, so lost

When your light shone bright

A beacon in the darkness

Showing me the way

I'm no longer lost

In this big world

You remind me of him

So kind and caring

But hiding within

What you truly are

Saying jokes and laughing

Being so very cocky

It annoys her

But not me

I've seen the real you

Without a cover up

The serious caring part

Is who you really are

Showing me who you really are

Helped me to finally know

What I was supposed to do

To have a better life

Let go of the past

And move to the future

It looks bright ahead

With the calm waters beneath

Go, take the leap

Of this insanity
