Chapter 20

Dean's P.O.V.

FINALLY!!

i step out of my car smiling up at the building

i have been waiting for this day, for a while now

a place for a chance to start over

to make new friends, who don't know anything about my past life

and a chance to be independent

college!!

i want to work on cars and this place has a great mechanic program, that will help me get jobs int he future

but there was just one problem...

i look back at the car

looking at a sad sammy in the passenger seat

i turn around bending down to look at him through the window

"c'mon Sammy, you promised you wouldn't be like this, if i let you help me unpack" i told him patting the top of the car

he nods his head and gets out wiping his eyes slightly

"sorry" he says looking at the ground

i roll my eyes and ruffle his hair

"c'mon, you should be happy! You don't need your annoying big brother around anymore" i tell him smiling

he just rolls his eyes smiling, hitting me on the arm

he helps me grab my suitcases and stuff and we head to the front desk

i tell sam to wait by the front door of the building

he sits on a bench with my suitcases

and i walk up to the front desk to see an old lady with an annoyed look on her face, as she's trying to type on her computer

"hi" i tell her giving her a small smile

she takes another 10 seconds to ignore me

the she looks up at me

"what do you want?" she asks rudely

my smile quickly fades

"i-i-uh-was just wondering where my room was, they told me to come here" i told her, watching her closely, she looked like she wanted to stab me

honestly she kind of scared me

but all the fear went away as soon as she answered back

"well they should keep their damn mouths shut!" she says as she gets up, grabbing a bunch of papers

i smiled

she didn't want to kill me, she's just a grumpy old lady, who probably hates her job

she turned back around handing me all the papers

i looked at her name tag...Karen

i decided to mess with her

it's the least i could do for the way she treated me

"thank you so much, Karen. Say? Did anyone ever tell you that you have the prettiest smile?" i told her

she just rolled her eyes

"i gave you your papers, now get out of here" she says looking back at her computer

but i don't move

i just stare at her

with a big grin on my face

she then rolls her eyes more and looks at me again
