Ok so in underswap (if you know what it is, if not look it up and come back to me) I thought wouldn't it be cool is US!Sans still knew about the timelines and not US!Papyrus? Like, I assume that it's Papy who knows in most interpretations of the AU, but a thought hit me (this is not regarding error sans btw, that's a whole other piece of toast)
So original sans is lazy because he knows that the world would just reset at some point
So US!Papyrus is like original sans, but i thought it would be cool if US!papy didn't know about the timelines, and US!sans did
Because then, USsans would be so hellbent on CAPTURING a human, because he doesn't want the human to die again in hopes of preventing one method of a RESET
Because if the human continued they would be killed and would RESET again because of that
So he would have the same knowledge as the original, but his swapped personality means he would do what it takes to try and stop it
Idk I thought it sounded cool
