it's the tense feeling that overtakes your body while racial matters are being discussed -

you're the only person of colour in your class.

it's the hurt covering your face after you're told no one is going to love you because of your skin colour -

you're the only person of colour in your school.

it's the frustration that rules your mind when your teachers don't do anything about the remarks -

you're a victim of racism.

it's the confusion you experience when you're called a 'paki' -

you're not definable by anyone but yourself.

it's the disgust you feel at the use of the n word, as if they have a right to 'reclaim' it -

your oppression is not reclaimable.

it's all of these things.
all of these things are the reasons we still have to fight for equality.

this got deep damn sorry. This is more fictional than most of my other poems because racism has never really (seriously) affected me to be honest. All of these things are things that have happened to me but they were mostly said by stupid 8 year olds who don't know what they're talking about and it doesn't happen often.

This is my first update in a month i'm lacking sorry

AlSo someone help me come up with a title for this i cant think of one
